3 Lidia Sosnowska a student of the Cracow Academy of Music under prof. Maciej Gallas. Sosnowska has taken many master courses, for example with Mariusz Kwiecień, Piotr Beczała or Sivan Rotem. As a laureate of the Krystyna Jamroz Vocal Competition, Sosnowska took part in the International Music Festival in Busko-Zdrój in Her last artistic work include a main role in Tchaikovsky s opera Eugene Onegin performed at the Cracow Academy of Music in April Piotr Jaworski a student of the Cracow Academy of Music (a piano class led by prof. Piotr Machnik and a conducting class led by prof. Maciej Tworek). Jaworski has taken many piano master courses with such musicians as: Andrzej Pikul, Dina Yoffe, Paul Badura-Skoda or Andrzej Jasiński and conducting practice with prof. Rafał Jacek Delekta. In 2014 he got a scholarship which allowed him to participate in the courses within Dartington Music Summer in England. Piotr Jaworski is a laureate of numerous national and international competitions, e.g. First Prize and a Special Prize at the 15th Juliusz Zarębski Competition (2015), Fifth Prize at the 22nd International Piano Competition Young Virtuosos in Zagreb, Third Prize at the 44th International Piano Competition Palma d Oro in Finale Ligure (2017).

4 Jaworski has performed at major international festivals, such as Music in Old Cracow, Music in Old Lvov, Wawel at Dusk, Cracow Music Autumn. He has also had his concerts at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Cracow Philharmonic, in Romania, Croatia, Germany, England and Belgium a recital at the European Parliament. Karolina Rajczyk performs opera, oratorio-cantata, chamber and operetta music. She has sung in recitals and many competitions nationwide. Rajczyk has taken part in master courses with Piotr Beczała (The Metropolitan Opera, New York), prof. Markus Schafer (Hohschule für Musik und Theater und Medien, Hannover), prof. Rannveig Braga-Postl (Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst, Wien), Olaf Bär, prof. W. Stephen Smith (Bienen School of Music), prof. Kate Peterson (Royal Academy of Music in London). In 2016, Karolina Rajczyk graduated with honours from Władysław Żeleński Secondary Music School in Cracow. Now, she continues her education at the Vocal-Acting Faculty of the Cracow Academy of Music in a class led by prof. Maria Seremet Dziewięcka. Julia Kocjan prefers performing chamber music. Since she has started her studies at the Cracow Academy of Music, she has been an active chamber musician. She learns accompaniment under prof. Lech Napierała and specialises in the accompaniment for romantic song. Kocjan has performed in many concerts, e.g. at the festival Voice&Piano in Cracow in She has also participated in numerous master courses, both in solo and chamber music, led by such professors as Adam Wodnicki, Evgeny Sinaiski, Olaf Bär

5 or Ulrike Siedel. In 2014 Julia Kocjan graduated with honours from Władysław Żeleńśki Secondary Music School in Cracow (a piano class led by Celestyna Koziak) and in 2015 started her studies at the Cracow Academy of Music. Now, she studies piano under prof. Ewa Bukojemska.

6 THE FLORIANKA ROOM. On Basztowa Street No 6 8 there is a noble pile of farmer seat of Mutual lnsurance Society Floryanka crowned with the statu of St. Florian the patron of fire. This magnificent palatiai building was erected in in accordance to the plans of famous architect, Tomasz Pryliński, together with Tadeusz Stryjeński, architect as well. Franciszek Trzecieski, the landlord and the owner of landed properties in Galicia, was a founder of Mutual lnsurance Society. He had to struggle with civic authorities of Cracow supporting German insurance companies. Finally in 1860 the rules and regulations of the Society was confirmed.st. Florian was considered as its patron that is why the na me of the Society seat is Florianka. Tomasz Pryliński has worked for Mutual lnsurance Society as an architect a good many years and so he was a creator of Society s magnificent building in Cracow. lt was built in two phases. In 1886 on the occasion of the anniversary of that well prosperous institution construction of this imposing room indirectly inspired by art of ltalian Renaissance was finished. The whole enterprise is a proof of efficient transformation of the forms from the past and adaptation to Polish circumstances. The inspiration for Pryliński and his project were undoubtedly Wawel Castle and his artistic impressions experienced during his ltalian travels. transl. Renata Włodek 41
