I did not rite 1015 and 1016 for Clarinet. That is merely the oerative sound. I rote it for you. In 1996, I had the good fortune of having you lay Clarinet in the very first STORMWORKS recording, Stormorks Chater 1: Without Warning. As you recall, the recording as fraught ith builtin disaster, and the entire CD, under adverse conditions, as sightread and recorded in 12 hours. (God bless that Horn section!) In fact, many first takes survived the malfunctions in the recording rocess. I m sure you recall. At one oint in the gruel, ith Clarinets questionably ositioned against the back all because of dbresonse, (dear God...) a onehour break as announced. You stood u, and ith the Heart of a boy, you said, Can e make it just 1/2anhour. This is so good. We have much to do! We have to get right back! Well, obviously, I never forgot that day or hat you said... and I never forgot your Heart. I ve knon you as a Clarinetist, as a fine Conductor ho commissioned In a Service Beyond Self and as a dedicated, consummate Teacher. This iece, after al these years is something I oe you in thanks; not for laying on the CD... but for being the Musician that you are. I resect you greatly.
