As the SME photo show, the smooth area is near the front side of cell, the rough region is laser burning area, and there is enough distance between PN junction to the laser cut area. There is no damage of PN junction during the laser scribing process. 13

14 High reliability : Hot-spot Test The average ΔT of Half-cell is lower 1.8 than Full-cell s, due to the current of H-cell is decrease to half of the Full-cell s, so it is become lower of the PV module s internal power loss. The operating temperature difference is relatively lower than full-cells, to reduce hot-spot issues.
