CAUTIONS Caution: Please make sure to read this user manual completely so that you could grasp how to use the unit. If needing maintenance, please contact distributors or the technical service center of our company. Caution: To prevent electric shock, please use wide groove plug-in to match, the plug should match the wide grooves, and should plug tightly. Caution: To prevent catching fire or electrical shock accident, please do not leave the unit exposed in the rain or in wet surroundings. 3 Page 2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Read the user manual: Please read and follow all the operations and other instructions after purchasing the player. 2. Maintenance Do not repair the player by yourself, because opening the cabinet might catch dangerous high voltage electric shock and get harm, and there is no components inside the player which could be used for repair by yourself. 3. Water and humidity When using the player, should avoid place with water, like bathtub, washbasin, dishwashing pool, etc, should also avoid damp underground, swimming pool and similar places. 4. Ventilation To guarantee stable and reliable works, must keep the surroundings ventilated, avoid too hot. Do not put the player on bed, sofa, cloth and clothes,etc, in order not to make vent jammed. 5. Hot origin Must keep the player far away from hot origin, like central heating, wind machine, hotness adjuster, heater and other hotness-given products. 6. Earphone When using earphone, put volume in the middle, if you use high volume long time, may cause harm to your ears. 7. Do not touch Switching Power Adapter when your hands are wet, or it is easy to catch electric Shock. 8. 8 Page 7 Update The unit could be connected to computer by way of COM converted to USB device, then update. Special Caution: To prevent fully discharging of the batteries by accident when storing, please pull off the batteries, then plug in before storing. After doing this, the unit is under protection, batteries capacity is not being used, thus accidental power on could be avoided. If the unit needs to be powered on, you only need to open battery cover, press the button beside the battery outlet one time, then switch on the unit. Switch You could use one corner of the batteries directly to dismiss operation of protection. 7

9 Page 8 Charging to The Batteries At off mode, use attached switching power adapter(dc12v) or car power adapter(dc12v) to connect the main unit, built-in charging circuit will charge the batteries automatically, green indicator shows Charging. When green indicator starts to flash, batteries are fully charged, charging over. If charging has problems, red light will be on; If high temperature protection is abnormal, red light flashes. After the unit is on, the unit stops charging, if charging is needed, please go to main menu, go to charging control, then it is OK. 8

12 Page 11 MAIN MENU SETUP Press SEL key on the remote controller or press MENU/SELECT key on the unit to go to main menu, including PICTURE SUBMENU, SYSTEM SUBMENU and PRESET SUBMENU inside. In PICTURE SUBMENU, including contrast, bright, and color, these 3 items are set to 50 when the goods are out of the factory. You could set up according to your requirements. In SYSTEM SBUMENU, including OSD language setup, unit 11

13 input mode setup, color system, sound system, charging control and battery level display. Page 12 Am ong them, input mode setup means the current status of the unit, press direction key,, could change the unit s mode, this func tion is the same as pressing MODE key on the remote controller; color system is subject to special requirements from the users; sound system can be adjusted according to local TV Signal; POWER could check batteries level. DVB TV Reception Power ON/OFF Press [OK/ POEWR] key on the panel to switch on the unit, the unit goes to DVB Digital Terrestrial TV Receiving mode, display DVB logo(may change, it is subject to different requirement). 12

14 Page 13 GO TO SCAN At DVB mode, press AUTO or MENU key on the remote controller, or press MENU/SELECT key to go to SCAN, may also go to DVB menu, use direction key, to choose SCAN, press OK to go to scan menu. If you want to exit from MENU, please press EXIT key on the remote controller; please press MENU key if you want to return to previous menu. SCAN: SCAN Mode, there are AUTO and MANUAL two options to be c hosen. If choosing AUTO, you only need to use direction key, to move cursor to START SCAN, then press OK to go to SCAN. When choosing manual search, channel No. is required to be input into Channel Number. Image of scanning process is as the following: Press EXIT to escape from SCAN any time when scanning. 13

15 After finishing scanning, it will be DVB TV broadcasting mode. Page 14 DVB TV Broadcasting At DVB TV broadcasting mode, you could choose CH- and CH+ to choose your favorite program. Go to Channel Submenu under MENU, it will be DVB TV preview menu to preview TV programs. Use direction key, to change channel, the small window at the right side will broadcast the chosen program at that time. After choosing, press OK key to go to full screen broadcasting mode. Channel classification Go to Favorites Submenu under MENU, could classify all the TV channels, there are 6 items altogether, which are News, Sports, Movie, MTV, Finance and Other. You could add some or all the otems. After classification, What you need to do is to put TV channel into relative classification, then it is OK. After finishing adding items, it will be much easier for you to find your favorite channel. 14

16 Page 15 DVB TV SETTINGS Go to Submenu under MENU, then DVB TV Setup could be started. There are 4 settings: Language Setting, A/V Setting, Sort Channel and Factory Setting. Language Settings: Language Settings, including Menu Lan guage, Audio Language and Subtitle Language 3 items, every item could choose French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Hungarian, Czechish, Polak and Portuguese. A/V Setting: A/V Setting, including TV Shape, Conversion and standard. 15

17 Page 16 TV Shape, could choose 4:3 or 16:9. Conversion, could choose Auto, Letterbox, Pan&Scan or FullFrame.L Standard, could choose NTSC, PAL and AUTO. Sort Channels, could choose Name Up, Name Down, Channel No and Encrypt. 16

18 Page 17 Factory Setting, must input correct safety password to enter factory setting. Default is when the goods are out of the factory. At factory settings, could see System Info, that is Software Version of the unit. Could modify safety password. Could also resume DVB Settings to defaults when the units are out of the factory. Could also clear the stored TV Channels. Could also choose software updating. Analog TV Receiving 1.Connect external antenna or cable TV. 2.Switch on power, when initially powered on, the unit is at DVB mode. 3.Press MODE key, switch to TV mode. 4.Volume adjustment, please press VOL-, VOL+ key. Auto Search 1. Go to system submenu to choose sound system(d/k, I, B/G or M). color system is set up before the unit is out of the factory. When setting SECAM system, could choose PAL 17

19 system or SECAM System manually. Color system must be set to SECAM to receive SECAM system TV. Page Press AUTO key on the remote controller or go to TV PRESET submenu to choose AUTO to search program, th en press key, then start to search automatically. 3.After searching several minutes, searching over. The searched channels will be stored in memory. 4.When using antenna, adjust antenna s length, direction and angel, to achieve the best receiving effect. CHANNEL SKIP Go to submenu to choose SKIP, change SKIP to YES, later press CH+ or CH- to skip the current receiving channel, this function is used to skip bad receiving channel. If change SKIP resume to NO, later that channel won t be skipped. MANUAL Go to submenu of preset to choose MANUAL, then press, key to search backward or forward, searching will be stopped after receiving programs. CHOOSE CHANNEL 18

20 1.Press number key 1 10 to choose channel As to channel exceeding 10, may press number key to input tens digit, then press number key to input last digit. Page 19 Press CH+ or CH- key to choose next or previous channel. Or go to submenu of PRESET to choose PROG, then press, key to choose previous or next channel. SWAP Go to submenu of PRESET to choose SWAP, press, key to change the interchange channel. After changing the swapped No., press SEL key to exit from PRESET submenu, SWAP is effective, the swapped channel will be stored. FINE Go to submenu of PRESET to choose FINE, press, key to fine backward or forward. BAND Go to submenu of PRESET to choose BAND, press, key to change channel. This function is used to choose channel before manual search. Special Caution: When searching program, you need to adjust your TV system the same as your local TV system to store the searched TV program. For example: your local TV system is PAL B/G, you sho uld adjust the unit s TV system to PAL B/G, then it will be OK to search. AUTO SYSTEM AV MONITOR 1.Connect with audio and video(ntsc or PAL) signal. 2. Press [OK/POWER] key to power on the unit. 3.Press [MODE] key to switch the unit to VIDEO mode. 4.Built-in auto system electrical circuit, NTSC or PAL video could be clearly displayed. 5.Press [VOL-] and [VOL+] key to adjust volume. 19
