Weekly Classes (by Age) Musical Jam I (Ages 3-6) Mondays 4:30pm - 5:30pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Skip, leap, jump, sing and play instruments! Experience the joy of locomotion and build skills in rhythm, tempo, and dynamics. Apply these skills and stretch your imagination through movement and dance exercises to strengthen fine and gross motor skills. Learn basic percussion instruments and jam with your classmates while learning fun songs! Students will also prepare a performance to present for parents and students on the last day of class! Act It Out! (Ages 3-6) Mondays, 5:30pm - 6:30pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Learn basic acting skills while bringing classic and new stories to life. Wear costumes, explore characters, tell stories! Students develop skills as they adapt tales with a focus on teamwork, problem solving, and active listening. Students will perform an original creation for parents and friends on the final day of class! Broadway & Disney Hit the Stage (Ages 3-6) Thursdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Want to learn about Musical Theater but too young for a full production? Come join us for this fun-filled class where students will learn about singing, movement and working together in this awesome class! Dress-up time as well as acting out stories will make this class a weekly favorite in your schedule! In addition, students will help create their own unique show with tunes from Broadway and Disney favorites to perform for parents and friends on the final day of class! Acting (Ages 6-9) Tuesdays, 4:00pm - 5:00pm (Ages 8-12) Tuesdays, 5:00pm - 6:00pm Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Develop clear and expressive physicality and vocal technique. Through improvisation and short scenes, use those skills to take risks, make strong character choices, develop character relationships, and pursue objective. We recommend students take this class more than once, as this training builds the foundation for many of our higher-level courses. Students will present skills learned during the semester on the final day of class for family and friends. Broadway Dance 1/2 (Ages 8-12) Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Broadway Rep, short for repertoire, students will learn dance combinations weekly to increase choreography retention. They will gain a greater repertoire and understanding of musical theatre choreography styles and how to adapt to them all. Broadway Rep works at a quicker pace in order to develop stronger performance skills onstage and in the audition room. Taught by TJ Mundell. Broadway Premiere (Ages 8-18) Thursdays, 5:00pm - 6:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly In this class students will explore some of the hits of Broadway, Newsies, Wicked, Hamilton, etc. Students will work together to put their own spin on these shows and through acting exercises, group brainstorm, and improvisation create a world premiere musical. Vocal, acting and movement work are all part of this class! Students will perform for family and friends on the final day of class! Tap 1/2 - Student Beginner/Intermediate (Ages 8-18) Wednesdays, 6:30pm - 7:30pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Broadway Tap 1/2 is a beginning/intermediate class that focuses on technique, style and tap speed mastery. This class is catered towards the rhythms and tempos that are used on Broadway to ensure confidence in performance and musical tap auditions. Beyond becoming an excellent tapper, students will grow in character expression through movement and placement. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, and a knowledge of tap vocabulary. Taught by Emmalyn Miron.

Dance Technique (Ages 10 & up) Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 8:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Want to improve your dancing? Learning routines and combos is great, but you shouldn t forget to continue improving upon the most critical element in dance... TECHNIQUE! Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance, from holding your body correctly while performing, to executing skills properly in a routine. Strong technique extends across all areas of dance, regardless of the style of your routine. Whether it s jazz, pom, hip hop, or kick, there is always an element of technique that can be improved upon. Taught by TJ Mundell. Make a Movie! (Ages 10 & up) Tuesdays, 7:00pm - 8:30pm, Tuition: $320/semester or $85 monthly Interested in movies? Our filmmaking classes will teach you how to master the movie production process and express your own creative voice through storytelling! You ll develop a story idea with your instructor, then turn that concept into a script and a shot-by-shot storyboard. Master creative camera angles and unique shots, then edit your original footage to create an exciting and unique movie all your own. Instructor: Madi Bready Acting (Ages 13 & up) Tuesdays, 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Through improvisation, script analysis and the study of monologue & scene materials, students are introduced to the fundamentals of performance. Delve deep into next-level acting skills as you analyze text for objectives, stakes, obstacles, tactics, and playable actions. Students will present skills learned during the semester on the final day of class for family and friends. Instructor: Madi Bready Broadway Dance 3/4 (Ages 13 & up) Tuesdays, 8:00pm - 9:00pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Broadway Rep, short for repertoire, students will learn dance combinations weekly to increase choreography retention. Tap - Teen/Adult (Ages 13 & up) Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 8:30pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Broadway Tap - Teen/Adult is an intermediate/advanced class that takes basic technique, style and tap speed mastery to a whole new level. This class will push tappers in technique, with new moves and crazy fast speeds. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique while being able to steal the stage with stage presence and grace. Teacher approval required. Taught by Emmalyn Miron. Triple Threat (by audition) Wednesdays, 7:30pm - 8:30pm, Tuition: $260/semester or $70 monthly Singing, Dancing, Acting...we will tackle all of these and include a little music theory as well as special audition techniques classes with other directors and choreographers. After this class you will see growth in all of your production areas. This class is invitation only, Jill Lord, Artistic director or Taylor Wallis will contact actors after auditions if you are granted placement in this class. If you think you might be interested in potentially auditioning for one of our Masterclass programs this is an excellent class to begin with. Taught by Jill Lord and Taylor Wallis To be considered for this class you must attend our Fall auditions, Aug. 15, 16 or September 7, 8. Visit our website to schedule your audition. This class is tentatively set for Thursdays 6:00-7:30 but this time could change if another time works better for the participants. College / Audition Prep Class (Ages 15 & up) Mondays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Tuition: $360/semester or $95 monthly Auditions can be overwhelming, especially auditions for colleges! How do you navigate this process if you've never done it before? We are here to help and get you prepared! Over the semester students will work on: Vocal Audition Skills and Song Selection Monologue Performance and Repertoire Dance Call Audition Skills and Practice In addition, we will discuss with students and parents: School Applications Pre-screen Auditions Unified vs. Regional vs. On Campus Auditions Audition Wardrobe Parent Audition Protocol

Masterclass (by audition) Class Schedule set after auditions, Tuition: $145 monthly OhLook's three Masterclasses (Jr., Sr., OCO) are the "cream of the crop" of OhLook and the DFW area in terms of both talent and character. Besides the high-quality training, these students receive special performance opportunities and perks throughout the year. As leaders of OhLook, Masterclass students are called upon to help out with OhLook Productions, both as performers and behind the scenes. The OhLook Masterclasses have received numerous State and National Awards and invitations, many of which are displayed in the OhLook lobby. In the fall, all groups focus on skills and repertoire development, plus Jr., Sr., and OCO prepare for the MTI Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA. In the spring, each Masterclass prepares a minimum of one production for the community. The costs for these productions are included in the Masterclass tuition. Jr., Sr., and OCO Masterclasses will be traveling to Atlanta, January 18-20, 2019, to attend the itheatrics Junior Theater Festival. Guidelines to be Considered for Masterclass To be considered for Masterclass you must attend our Fall auditions, Aug. 15 & 16. Please prepare, 2 contrasting songs, 16-32 bars each. You will be asked to do a cold reading in your audition, and there will be a separate dance audition. Masterclass students must be enrolled in at least 1 dance class at least an hour a week, either at Ohlook or at another dance studio. 2. Masterclass class time will include rehearsals, training and music theory. 3. Only 2 absences allowed during each semester (this does not include outside JTF rehearsals) 4. Each student is expected to accomplish 6 volunteer hours at the theater per semester. This could be passing out programs at a production, helping with a production, cleaning up, taking out the trash, organizing, etc (there will be a sign up sheet in the office) 5. Any outside training or auditions must be cleared by the masterclass director. 6. Expected to attend any and all extra workshops specifically scheduled for masterclass students. 7. Students ages 12 and older need to be enrolled in private voice lessons. 8. Masterclass families are expected to promote, advocate, and support Ohlook through social media, attending performances, word of mouth, etc 9. Enrollment in Masterclass is a full year commitment.
