FESTIVAL HEADQUARTERS: ELECTRIC LODGE, 1416 Electric Ave., Venice Beach Located in the heart of Southern California s Silicon Beach, Electric Lodge is one of the first solar-powered performing arts facilities in the country. Electric Lodge acts as both lab and performance space for artists, dancers, filmmakers, and actors - its theatre, lobby, gallery, and patio pockets just steps away from Abbott Kinney Boulevard, serves as our GIIIFF hub.

MISSION AND VISION The Garifuna Film Festival is a vehicle that allows Garifuna and all indigenous people to showcase the culture and traditional art forms rarely seen outside of their region. The Festival seeks to preserve and share the Garifuna and global indigenous cultures through feature films, documentaries, art, music, and dance, workshops, and performances. The visual images are archived as part of the Festival s mission to curate and educate communities about these wonderful, thriving cultures some of which are in danger of extinction.
