OPTICAL Fiberconnect intro In today s CATV networks the requirements for a wide choice of products for network applications are growing rapidly. In this brochure a comprehensive line of high quality fiber optic products is presented in order to give designers and installers the necessary range of fiber optic products to choose from. With the products in this brochure, we are convinced that you can meet the increasing requirements for quality in fiber optic installations. Page 2 Patch cables & adaptors...3 Our product group of very high quality optical patch cables include all standard connector types like FC, SC, ST, LC, MU and E2000. All types are available with either PC or APC connector polished ends. Different types of standard cable are also available such as G.651, G.652.D and G.655. We also offer a wide range of high performance optical adaptors. Attenuators & Terminators...4 Our product group of high performance passive optical components include attenuators and terminators from the world famous company Seikoh Giken. These components are available in all standard configurations and works in the wavelength area of 1250nm to 1650nm. Optical fiber splitters and couplers...4 In network design, optical splitters and couplers are often used, either for tab-off, or to divide/combine optical signals. For this purpose DKT can offer a range of splitters and couplers from 1x2 to 1x32 lines. Our product group features low insertion loss and is specially designed for CATV communication networks as well as long-haul transmission systems. WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexers)...7 Our single mode, standard type wavelength division multiplexers divide and combine 1310 / 1550 nm wavelengths. The 1310 / 1550 nm WDM coupler is the basic component to make up dual window WDM devices. Our WDM component features low insertion loss, low excess loss, high isolation, and high directivity, which is perfect for CATV network use. Optical circulators...7 Polarization independent optical circulators is a multi-port input and output passive component which routes one incoming optical signal from port 1 to port 2, and a separate signal from port 2 to port 3. Beside low insertion loss, high channel isolation, and low PDL, it features an ultra compact rugged package, excellent quality stability and is optical path epoxy-free. These features make our circulators ideal for bi-directional fiber transmission systems. CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexers)...8 Multiplexer or De-multiplexer modules are designed for integration into metro and access optical communications networks. The multiplexer module combines several wide channel bandwidths traveling in separate single mode fibers in to one single mode fiber, and the de-multiplexer module separates each wavelength coming from one single mode fiber in to several single mode fibers, where each output fiber has a specific wavelength area. CWDM s is very much the same component like an ordinary WDM s, but CWDM s has wider (coarser) channels (typical channel space is 20nm/per. channel). DKT product group of CWDM s consist of several setups ranging from 2, 4+1 and 8+1 channels, and all components are based on thin-film filter technology. This ensures features like low insertion loss, high isolation, and good thermal stability. This makes the components ideal for CATV communication networks. Management products...9 To compliment the line of optical passives you will here find a range of mechanical accessories to organize the installation. This series increases the quality of installation and maintenance by reducing the risk of damage to optical components. DKT CWDM The multiplexer module combines several wavelengths (channels) traveling in each separate singlemode fiber into one singlemode fiber, and the same module separates each specific wavelengths traveling in the common singlemode fiber into wavelength, each traveling in a separate singlemode fibers. DKT MHC-X The 19" modules, MHC-0 and MHC-1, are the "Optical Basic units", designed to fit all the different plug-in modules such as Couplers, WDM's, CWDM's, Circulators etc. Each Optical component is fixed on the suitable mounting plate and pluged into the Optical Basic unit, securing an easy installation and a cost effective solution. MHC-0 is the Optical Basic unit in plain aluminium without plating while MHC-1 is Optical Basic unit with chromatic plating.
