Details of the scheme Period Throughout the whole year (including the summer holiday) Stages 3 1 st term, 2 nd term, summer holiday 1 st term (late Sept to early Dec) 2 nd term (Jan to May) Summer holiday (mid-may to late Aug) Categories 2 Individual & Class Prize Presentation Awards Individual Category 3 times 6 (each form) 1 st term, 2 nd term, overall 1 st term: mid Jan 2 nd term: late May Whole Year: early July (Closing Ceremony) [Trophies will be given to the overall winners] Champion, 1 st runner-up, 2 nd runner-up, 3 Merits Top 3: at least 18 reading journals 3 Merits: at least 15 reading journals Prizes Certificate Bonus Marks (Max: 10%) in the SBA Component of English Language Paper (Champion: 10%, 1 st runner-up: 8%, 2 nd runner-up: 6%, Merits: 3%) Class Category 1 (each form) Award of Most Active Participation At least an average of 3 reading journals submitted Prizes Certificate Bonus Marks Students with contribution (that means who has submitted reading journals) will be given bonus marks (3% per student) in their SBA Component of English Language Paper. 2
