LET THEM TALK $7,500 Overview Let Them Talk is a two day lecture series featuring interviews with some of French Quarter Festival s favorite artists. This special series is an unique opportunity for our audience to hear directly from musicians about their inspiration, process, and passions. FQF FILM FEST $5,000 Overview The Film Fest at French Quarter Festival with Cinema on the Bayou showcases two days of films that feature Louisiana music and culture. Dance Lessons $2,500 Overview French Quarter Festival offers 30-minute dance lessons taught by experienced professional instructors. Dance lessons are featured between musical acts at the Chevron Cajun Zydeco Stage AND the French Market Traditional Jazz Stage. BBC Travel Show 1,025 Articles Troy Trombone Shorty Andrews was rehearsing at his recently acquired Garden District studio Thursday afternoon when he realized Aaron Neville was onstage at the 2017 French Quarter Festival. Even though he was scheduled to fly to Australia the next day, Andrews dropped everything and hustled to Woldenberg Riverfront Park, where Neville was to make his French Quarter Festival debut thousands of other less famous fans felt the same way. ABOUT FQFI French Quarter Festivals, Inc. is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to drive economic impact through investing in New Orleans unique cultural industries. French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI) accomplishes our mission by promoting the Vieux Carré and the City of New Orleans through high quality special events and activities that showcase the culture and heritage of this unique city, contribute to the economic well-being of the community, and instill increased pride in the people of New Orleans. What started as a small neighborhood event has grown into the largest showcase of Louisiana music in the world with over 1,700 local musicians. The Festival is one of the biggest events in Louisiana and generates an average economic impact of over $190 million. In 2017, it was named Best Local Festival by New Orleans Magazine readers and has also been listed as the one thing to do in Louisiana by the Huffington Post.
