The Director Jose Villalobos Villalobos is a Spanish Director, Music Composer, Writer and Producer that is currently living in Los Angeles. From composing film music to director and producing films, VILLALOBOS has applied his talents to varying aspects of the Industry. His beginning came through making music for films, for which he rapidly achieved critical acclaim and a respected reputation throughout Hollywood due to his work with Alberto Iglesias in creating the KITE RUNNER soundtrack. This soundtrack went on the receive BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC nominations in the Golden Globes and Baftas as well as an OSCAR nomination in the Academy Awards. Since then has composed the music for THE PHILANTHROPIST, an NBC drama series produced by BARRY LEVINSON & TOM FONTANA and starring JAMES PUREFOY, and RECONSTRUCTION produced by PETER HORTON and JOSHUA BRAND. A few years ago he created a production company to progress his aspirations of producing and directing movies. THE INVISIBLE EYE was one of the first movies they coproduced. It premiered during the DIRECTOR s FORTNIGHT in the CANNES Film Festival 2010. It also won the SUNDANCE NHK Award, BEST PICTURE at The Habana Film Festival, and it was nominated in seven categories at the Argentinean Academy Awards, and 10 categories at the Condor International Press Awards, including BEST ORIGINAL MUSIC and BEST MOVIE in each of these. WINGS is his third work as a director and writer. IGNORA and 21 were his first two short films. He has also worked as a consultant and co-writer in different projects. Director s Statement WINGS was born at two different times. The first one started a long time ago, when I was a little boy and didn t even know I wanted to be an artist, the first time I entered the theater. I ve always been fascinated with what goes into putting on a concert. Every nuance, every detail, every choice, from the moment of getting ready to the moment everyone is settled back at home. Entering past the big theatre doors was my first glimpse into this New World. The long ceilings, large columns, and decorated space wearing history on its back. Past the second door, through the seats all facing the grand stage, still hiding behind a huge curtain hanging from the top of the world. The lights go down, the artists illuminate the stage as they give us a few hours of magic. Then we all applaud and go back home, leaving the theatre alone again. That s the experience we almost all live. But what is behind the curtain? What is in the WINGS? What happens before the lights go down? I m wondering if people reflect or see how many hours of hard work are required to get everything ready for a show: all the little details, so there won t be any mistakes. We just see the result and we like to enjoy that perfect show we paid for and came to see. Perfection is hard to find, but we know we can create the illusion of perfection. It s all about Preparation. I ve had the opportunity of seeing many musicians and artists getting ready before they do a performance. This is the second reason why WINGS was born. I wanted to show people what happen behind the stage. To tell the story about those people who are doing their absolute best so we can enjoy those few hours as we deserve. All things in life are the same as the concert. We usually just see one face of the coin, not always knowing the effort that goes into the other. He has hosted important events, music concerts, premieres, with audiences up to 20,000 attendees. Christian Rodrigo is a Spanish actor, acting coach and producer based in Los Angeles. The Cast Meta Golding as Angela She competed on ice as an Italian national figure skater, but when an injury ended her skating career she started acting in Italian theatre. Later she returned to the USA to attend Cornell University where she earned degrees in Theatre Arts and International Relations. Nowadays Meta Golding is a versatile actress who has appeared in several widely known TV shows, such as CSI, Criminal Minds, Lie to Me, Day Break or JAG among others. Meta Golding is an actress of Haitian descent but Washington raised in the United States, India, France and Italy as well as Haiti itself. Her film credits include, Surrogates, On Edge,Quite Days In Hollywood, Kiss The Girls, and In Justice: Victims. She has played a role in Catching Fire as Enobaria, a tribute from District Ana Corbi as Gala 2 who antagonizes Katniss during the sequel s all-star deathlympics.
