Profile AL HASNAA KEEPS UP WITH THE AGE N ot content with being the first specialized women s magazine in the Arab world when it was established in 1909 at the dawn of the Twentieth century, Al Hasnaa has always looked forward towards the third millennium. Throughout its 98 year history, Al Hasnaa has mirrored the Arab woman and reflected her dreams and aspirations. Its pages have highlighted issues of women s rights and liberalization, and painted the way towards modernism with the brightest colors. A l Hasnaa has crossed many milestones and overcome numerous obstacles in its long history to partner the Arab woman in her march forward. It pioneered modernity, overcame taboos to delve into controversial topics and issues, and opened wide the portals of knowledge. All this whilst maintaining the values, traditions and unique culture of oriental society. T he long road came to full fruition in 1998 when Al Hasnaa joined the family of Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal Group and thus gained access to a much wider readership in the Arab world, not only amongst women, but also husbands and children. And as it prepares to celebrate its first centenary in two years time, Al Hasnaa looks forward to increasingly effective interaction with Arab society. A l Hasnaa promises and delivers Watch out for it. 2.1923.1924.1925.1926.1927.1928.1929.1930.1931.1932.1933.1934.1935.1936. 56.1957.1958.1959.1.1979.1980.1981.1982.1983.1984.1985.196.1987.1988.1989.1990.1991.1992. 0.1961.1962.1963.1964.1965.1966.1967.1968.1969.1970.1971.1972.1973.1974.1975.1976.1977.197 14.1915.1916.1917.1918.1919.1920.1921.1 909.1910.1911.1912.1913 937.1938.1939.1940.1941.1942.1943.1944.1945.1946.1947.1948.1949.1950.1951.1952.1953.1954.1955.
