WELCOME MediaFish We are MediaFish, a group of young people from across Leeds with an interest in film who meet in the Film Academy at Leeds Town Hall every week. We help to organise the Leeds Young Film Festival, selecting films and creating the programme as well as designing the brochure and running the events. We ll be your guides to the festival so feel free to ask us any questions - we re happy to help! For 2014 we ve worked hard to bring you an exciting collection of films, from local productions shot in Yorkshire to the latest big budget blockbusters. Our opening gala this year is a special premiere of Rio 2 in 3D which you can see before anyone else in the UK and USA! We re opening the Toy Story toybox to bring you all three servings of Pixar s most beloved franchise as well as some classic Disney animated favourites. In celebration of Le Grand Depart from Leeds in July we have several films based around the Tour de France and cycling - just look for the special logo. This is just a small selection of the amazing films on offer so whether you ve been to the film festival before or this is your first time, we know you ll love it. The film follows seven year old Joey, who runs off to Coney Island to hide out, after being tricked into thinking he has killed his older brother while playing with a rifle.
