CALLING ALL STUDENT PERFORMERS!!! RLT s Spring 2019 production of Lionel Bart s musical Oliver! is a wonderful opportunity for students grades 3 12 to be involved in a community theatre production. OLIVER, will be played by an actor age 10 12. ARTFUL DODGER, BET, CHARLOTTE and NOAH will be played by students ages 12-17. 12 15 WORKHOUSE ORPHANS will be cast from 3 rd 5 th grade students. 12 15 PICKPOCKETS will be cast from 6 th 12 th grade students. PARENTS: please read the information below carefully. Students must have signed permission from parent/guardian in order to audition. ES students must be accompanied by an adult at auditions. Rehearsals Rehearsals begin February 10 and continue through to opening night starting with once per week rehearsals in February, increasing to 2 or more rehearsals per week in March and April. Leads should expect to have more scheduled rehearsals than smaller roles or groups. The last two weeks before opening night, we rehearse every evening. There will be no rehearsals during spring break (March 8 17). Most rehearsals will be between 4:30 and 8:30 PM. Few rehearsals will be on weekends unless a scene needs attention. A very specific and detailed rehearsal schedule will be disseminated after the show is cast. Performances Curtain will go up on Oliver! at RLT s new performance space, La Palma Event Center. Eight performances are scheduled: April 25 th 27 th at 7 PM and 28th at 2 PM; May 2nd 4 th at 7 PM and 4th at 2 PM. Rehearsals and Performances (parents, please read carefully) te: Attendance by ALL cast members at ALL scheduled rehearsals and performances is critical to the success of the show. That said, we are very accommodating (up to a point) of schedule issues and pre-planned absences. Please check the Performance Schedule below and the rehearsal schedule. If you foresee a conflict, or have specific commitments that would preclude you from participating on certain days, please list in the space provided.
