Three years have flown by while serving our Chapter as Dean. There have certainly been ups and downs, as any task in life, but overall, this has been a task that has come with great enjoyment for me personally. Adam Ward, dean I want to take this opportunity to thank a number of people who have made my journey work. Firstly, I thank Gay Pappin, our Immediate Past Dean, who worked so diligently before me to make our Chapter very strong in so many ways. Her consummate attention to detail is something to behold! Speaking of attention to details, Lance Burnette has been like my right arm during these past three years. I have often told Lance that he is our Ghost Dean as he keeps me on task each month and reminds me of what is coming next. I thank our board members over the past three years who have given of themselves to make programming and administrative tasks happen. I also thank the many folks who have worked so hard to put together an INCREDIBLE Regional Convention for 2015. How exciting it will be. Finally to each of you who are reading this, and who have put yourself to the challenge of promoting our art through the Guild with your membership, your participation, your financial support: YOU are the backbone of our organization, and YOU are to be commended for Charlotte having a strong, vital chapter of the American Guild of Organists. I am proud of the leadership that is forthcoming on our Executive Board. Matthew Brown is one of the hardest workers I know, and he has a great deal of vision for our Chapter. I look forward to being a part of something exciting during his leadership! I look forward to seeing you in the trenches with me! Fondly, Adam Ward The mission of the American Guild of Organists is to enrich lives through organ and choral music. To achieve this, we: Encourage excellence in the performance of organ and choral music; Inspire, educate, and offer certification for organists and choral conductors; Provide networking, fellowship, and mutual support; Nurture future generations of organists; Promote the organ in its historic and evolving roles; and Engage wider audiences with organ and choral music. This new system allows members to pay their dues online using a credit card, update their personal information, search for Guild members, and make contributions. (Members can still pay by check.) ONCARD will launch in April for the 2014-2015 dues season and will begin invoicing members by email. What should I do now? Login to ONCARD and update/change your personal information. - You will need your member ID from your TAO magazine address label. - The chapter has appointed 2 liaisons to assist members with the new online process.
