MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION COMPETITION RULES 1. The 'Musical Association "Orfeo Stillo" organizes the XV INTERNATIONAL OPERA COMPETITION "S. FRANCESCO DI PAOLA " that place from 13 to 15 March 2018 at the Theater of Tradition "Alfonso Rendano" of Cosenza. 2. The competition is open to singers of both sexes of any nationality until maximum age of 35 years. 3. The competition provides 3 tests: preliminary, semifinal and final. Candidates must present 4 arias from the opera repertoire. In the preliminary candidates will perform two arias, one chosen by the candidate and the other chosen by the jury; in the semifinal 2 arias choice of the jury; in the final the jury will ask the execution of one or more arias in their choice between 4 presented. 4. Candidates who wish to participate in the Special Prize dedicated to the Calabrian composers must indicate into the program, an aria composed by a musician Calabrian (for example: Cilea, Rendano, Manfroce, Capizzano, Longo, Leo, Quintieri, etc) 5. Candidates will be accompanied on piano by designated staff from the organization of the competition, but each candidate may be accompanied, at his own expense, by a trust pianist. 6. The jury appointed by the Artistic Direction is composed of artistic directors opera houses, conductors, singers, music critics, whose names are given in Section Jury Notice. If due to supervening impediments could not attend a juror has been designated the president may call to be part of a new jury member. 7. The jury's decisions will be final and unappealable. 8. The jury may decide to divide equally a prize if deemed two or more candidates of equal merit as will assign some prize. 9. The Prize will be considered the candidate who has achieved a score between 97 and 100/100, II Prize and the candidate will have achieved a score between 90 and 96/100, III Prize and the candidate who will have attained a score comprised between 80 and 89/100. Below the third prize will not be awarded points but will be awarded certificates of merit and special awards. 10. The ceremony of prize-giving will take place at the end of the work of the competition at the Gala Evening which will perform the finalists and/or more candidates who have distinguished themselves, at the discretion of the jury. 11. In the case of photographic pictures, recording radio, television, web, and recording discography in the competition, the participants are not entitled to pretend economic demand any and simultaneously with the registration in the competition and accept of the following terms and release release the use of each image, video and recording. 12. All prizes must be collected in person, under penalty of cancellation of the award itself, during the awards ceremony. 13. Participants must bring a proof of identity and a copy of the pieces in the program for the commission, which will remain on record. 14. The direction will determine the schedule of performances that will be published on the site. It s care of the candidates access them. 15. Failure to participate in the competition will not be entitled to any reimbursement. 16. The Management assumes no responsibility or liability for any damage caused to property or persons during the course of the work. 17. All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation. 18. Participation in the competition implies the unconditional acceptance of these rules without any reserves.
