Concorso Città di Pesaro XVI International Competition 13 / 16 may, 2019 Promoted by the Musical Associaton Orchestra da Camera of Pesaro in order to promote the music of Rossini in the world and encourage young people to a serious and passionate musical career. ART. 1 - The competition is open to musiciansof any nationality: The Pesaro Prize is open to soloists (instrumentalists and singers) and chamber groups. The School Prize is open to Public and Private Schools of every order and degree. Rossini International is dedicated to Rossini music, original unpublished and trascribed. ART. 2 - The competition is divided into Sections and Categories : Pesaro Prize is divided into 6 sections and category. Section A : Piano Solo A1: up to 10 years old; A2: up to 15 years old; A3: up to 18 years old; A4: up to 30 years old; Section B: Sing B1: Man Voice up to 23 years old; B2 : Man Voice up to 35 years old; B3: Woman Voice up to 23 years old; B4 : Woman Voice up to 35 years old; Section C : Wind C1Brass : up to 18 years old; C2 Brass :up to 30 years old; C3 Wind : up to 18 years old; C4 Wind : up to 30 years old; Section D: String D1: up to 12 years old; D.2: up to 18 years old;
D 3: up to 30 years old; Section E : Chamber Music E 1: up to 20 years old; E 2: no age limit. All the bands from two until eleven components, excluding where there are two pianos. Section F : Popular Music F1: Soloists instrument without age limit; F2: Soloists singer without age limit; F3: no age limit groups. Section gives voice to the instruments and repertoire of the folk tradition. The School Prize is divided into 5 sections and 5 categories and the special section F reserved for Choirs and Orchester with organics that include musicians outside the school staff: Section A: Primary schools A1. Soloists A2.Duo A3.Trio A4 Chamber Music (from 4 until 9 components) A5 Orchestra/Coro (from 10 components up) Section B: Middle-class musical education B1. Soloists B2.Duo B3.Trio B4 Chamber Music (from 4 until 9 components) B5 Orchestra/Coro (from 10 components) up Section C: Hight School C1. Soloists C2.Duo C3.Trio C4 Chamber Music (from 4 until 9 components) C5 Orchestra/Coro (from 10 components up) Section D: Conservatory/University D1. Soloists D2.Duo D3.Trio D4 Chamber Music (from 4 until 9 components) D5 Orchestra/Coro (from 10 components up) Section E: Musical Institutions (Municipal Schools, Choirs, City Bands, Associations, Academies) E1. Soloists E2.Duo E3.Trio E4 Chamber Music (from 4 until 9 components) E5 Orchestra/Coro (from 10 components up) Section F Mixed orchestral and mixed choirs (where adult participants do not exceed 50% of the staff) F1 Orchestra and choir (from 10 components up) All D and E category participants must be no more than 25 years old. For Orchestras and Choirs of categories A, B and C, musicians outside the Institution (up to 25 years old) are allowed to attend for no more than 1/5 of the staff. Rossini International is playing in a single section that includes musicians, singers, chamber groups, popular musicians.
The organization of the Contest provides a piano accompanist, but it is allowed to provide a personal pianist. In this respect, the competitor will have to send the proof of payment of a supplementary fee together with the application for registration. The secretary reserves the right to request copies if it is necessary. ART.3 - The Concorso Città di Pesaro takes place with a free program to offer each participant the opportunity to express theirself well in the chosen repertoire and to enhance the classical composers of their country of belonging. For Pesaro Prize the tracks presented may be of any author; they are edited except for the category of Chamber Music and Popular where you can present music also arranged or transcribed. Candidates will need to specify the program that will be played for the Gala Concert when it comes to the Winners. The program, with a maximum duration of 5 minutes, will be an integral part of the program and must be performed even during the audition. Those who intend to compete at the "Rossini International Award" will have to present a piece of Rossini or in original or transcribed form. The maximum time of the auditions is as follows: Section A : Piano Solo A1: 5 minutes; A2: 10 minutes; A3: 20 minutes; A4: 40 minutes. It is mandatory that the performance will be by memory. Section B : Sing B1: 20 minutes; B2 : 30 minutes; B3: 20 minutes; B3 : 30 minutes. The program The program has to include three Opera Arias and one of them has to be in Italian. Section C : Wind C1: 20 minutes; C2: 30 minutes; C3: 20 minutes; C4: 30 minutes; Sezione D: String D1: 10 minutes; D.2: 20 minutes; D 3: 30 minutes. Section E : Chamber Music E.1: 15 minutes; E2: 30 minutes; The tracks presented could come from the original repertoire or transcribed. Section F : Popular Music F.1: 15 minutes; F.2: 15 minutes; F3: 30 minutes. The tracks presented could come from the original repertoire or transcribed and playing with original istruments. For School Prize the tracks presented may be of any author, original, arranged or transcribed. Those who intend to compete at the "Rossini School Prize" prize must present a piece of Rossini or in original or transcribed form. The maximum time of the auditions is as follows: Sezione A/B: Soloist, Duo, Trio, Chamber Music: 5 minutes; Choir/Orchestra: 15 minutes. Sezione C/D/E: Soloist, Duo, Trio, Chamber Music: 15 minuti; Choir/Orchestra: 20 minutes. Sezione F: Choir/Orchestra : 20 minutes. Rossini International must necessarily include an original, unpublished or transcribed track from any style of music from the classic to improvisation. If the track dedicated to Rossini not have a duration of 6 minutes, it is necessary to put it another author to complete the competition test, which must last for a maximum of 15 minutes. ART.4 - The registration form can be effectuated in two different ways: Registered letter: after downloaded the form from the website htp://www.concorsopesaro.altervista.org and filled it, the candidate have to send it with all documents to the desk of 16 International Music Competition Città di Pesaro, address: via Virgilio, n. 5 61121 Pesaro (PU) Italy.
Online: on the website htp://www.concorsopesaro.altervista.org can fill the registration form uploaded. All the documents required have to be uploaded in the relative sections using pdf or jpg format (readable form). The registration will have to arrive until Saturday 30 April 2019 to the desk of 16 International Music Competition Città di Pesaro. Each competitor may register in more than one section and in one category, even higher than that relating to his / her age, if the artistic preparation allows it: in this case it is necessary to make an explicit request in the application form. The registration form have to enclosure: copy of passport; musical program; components of the music group a copy of the payment receipt a copy oh the payment for pianist The registration form, duly signed by each adult competitor or by the parents of the minor competitor will act as a release for the processing of personal data and for filming and photos of CIMP's institutional activities. The order of auditions will be published on CIMP official website www.concorsopesaro.altervista.org. ART. 5 - The registration fee amount will vary according to the different categories. The competitors selected by the Jury among the members of the City of Pesaro Contest and the "BRINGyourROSSINI" Online Contest do not have to pay the fee. The payment can be effectuated with bank payment to UBI BANCA Pesaro (IBAN: IT52 N031 1113 3010 0000 0091 711 BIC: BLOPIT22) addressed to Associazione Orchestra da Camera di Pesaro. The amount will be refund just in case of external causes, that could
withdraw/cancel the competition or the category. ART. 6 - The Jury will award the prizes after the score expressed in centimeters according to the rules and procedures before the opening of the contest. First ranked will be the competitors and ensembles that will get a score of at least 95/100; Second ranked will be the competitors and ensembles that will get a score of at least 90/100; Third ranked will be the competitors and ensembles that will geta score of at least 85/100; Meritori will be the competitors and ensembles that will get a score of at least 80/100. ART. 7 - The Study and Special Prizes Bags will be announced by the Competition Office on www.concorsopesaro.altervista.org website by 30 th April 2019. Awarding Prizes: To First ranked of each category: Diploma of 1st Prize; To Second ranked of each category: Diploma of 2nd Prize; To Third ranked of each category: Diploma of 3nd Prize; To Meritori of each category: Diploma of Meritorio Each competitor and each non-winning chamber group will receive a participation diploma. Pesaro Prize XVI edition: the winners of each category will compete for the award of Premio Città di Pesaro XVI edition that will be designated during the Concert for Winners. The winner will receive a Work Artistica, a Scholarship of 1000 and Award Concerts; School Prize XVI edition will be designated by the jury among all soloists and chamber music, orchestral and choral at the end of the contest;the winner will receive a Diplom, a Scholarship of 1000 ; Rossini International XVI edition will be designated to the competitor who will get the highest score. The winner will receive the Rossini International Award, a scholarship of 1000 and Concert Awards. Other scholarships and other prizes to be awarded to the winners of the various categories will be announced by the Competition Secretariat on the website www.concorsopesaro.altervista.org by March 30, 2019. ART. 8 - At the end of the competition, the winners of the scholarships are required to perform at the Concert for Winners; failing to participate in the concert will involve the loss of the prize awarded. Recordings or radio or television broadcasts of executions - during the concert - cease to be entitled to any compensation to the performers. ART. 9 - The Commission will be composed by musicians, renowned music critics, more one or two secretariats without right to vote. It is a faculty of the Commission to interrupt the candidate s performance or eventually ask for listen to it again. The judgment of the Commission will be irrevocable. They cannot be part of the Commission who has family relation ship or affinity with one or more candidates. Either those who have had professional relation ship with one or more candidates in the previous two years at the beginning of the auditions. In this case they must abstain from the discussion and from the evaluation of the final round of the competitors; such abstention should be specifically mentioned in the minutes.
ART. 10 - Registration for the Competition implies the unconditional acceptance of these Regulations. The organizers reserve the right, for any reason of force majeure to make changes to this Regulation, in which case will be notified forthwith. ART. 11 - The competition will be held in Pesaro in the Chamber Council ("Adele Bei") of Province of Pesaro and Urbino, and in Rossini Teater from 26 until 30 April 2018. On april, 30, the Awards and the Winners s final concert will be celebrated at the Metaurense Hall of the Ducal Palace.
