Senior Calendar Please note the following dates on your calendar. February 22, 2010 Class of 2010 students and parents: The graduation committee is preparing its list of possible commencement speaker candidates. This is your last chance to submit the name and contact information for anyone you think should be considered for this honor. This is a chance for you to provide your input on the choice for graduation speaker. This person could be a teacher, former Sherwood student, someone from the Sherwood community, motivational speaker, or anyone else who might have a positive impact on this graduating class. Please list below the person s name, contact information (address, phone number, email address, etc.) and a brief explanation of why this person would be an ideal graduation speaker for the Class of 2010. Return this form to Mrs. Johnson in room A109 no later than Monday, March 1, 2010. Please include your name as the person submitting a possible candidate for graduation speaker at the bottom of this page. **Print legibly** Your Name:

Sherwood High School Graduation Wednesday, June 9, 2010 DAR Constitution Hall, 2:30 p.m. Graduating seniors will receive 5 tickets per family at graduation rehearsal on Friday, May 28. A lottery will be held to distribute extra tickets (beyond the guaranteed maximum of 5 tickets). More information will be forthcoming concerning the date and time for the distribution of the additional tickets. Please complete the form below to request extra tickets. You may ask for up to 3 additional tickets. Every effort will be made to fill requests, but we will not know until after final exams the exact total of additional tickets available for distribution. For those of you who do not need all 5 of your tickets and you are willing to submit your extra tickets into the lottery pool for others to use, please circle on the form below the exact number of tickets you need. Graduating Senior Do you want to speak at the Class of 2010 Commencement? Write a speech and submit it to Mrs. Johnson in A109 by Friday, March 5 th. Speakers will be chosen based on the quality of their speech and their delivery. Speeches should be three to four minutes in length, engaging, positive, and appropriate for the event. The top writers will be asked to present their speech before a selection panel to determine who will speak at commencement.

The Class of 2010 is collecting photos for a slideshow that will be presented at the senior banquet at Dave & Buster s on April 30 th. We need your help collecting photos! Email your photos to zeesoccergal@msn.com or turn in original photos to Mrs. Johnson in A109. The last day to submit photos is April 16 th. Write your name and phone number on the back of the photograph. Limit your submissions to three favorite photographs. A good photo will: Be school appropriate Include one or more Sherwood seniors List the names of those pictured and the year the photo was taken on the back
