For more information or to contribute to this scholarship endowment fund, contact ACT at (605) 225-2228. Welcome to the Bingo Parlor! Thanks for coming. By now you have received your Bingo card and are ready to play each of the three audience participation games of Bingo throughout the production tonight. Get ready to yell Bingo! Although in the play we use paper Bingo card and daubers, we are using cards with sliders to make it easier with the limited room for the audience. There are actual cash prizes for two of the audience games and a special door prize for the third. Everyone received one Bingo card when they were seated, as part of your admission. You can double your chance of winning by purchasing another Bingo card for $3.00 each, or 2 for $5, if you are a couple, but there is a strict limit of two cards per person, due to the limited space to play. So, if you don t win the first game, you have two additional chances. If you would prefer not to play, that s fine, maybe you d like to give your card to your neighbor and increase their chances of winning, or simply return your card to an usher. You will use the same Bingo card(s) for each audience games tonight. All proceeds from Bingo card purchases go to the LED lighting retrofit of the Capitol Theatre. Although we hope you have fun playing Bingo, the games are not the most important part of the show. It is all about relationships and the stresses that little things can put on our relationships. I will be the first to admit this production is no Pulitzer Prize-winning play, like Wit, or have the serious overtones of Jesus Christ Superstar, earlier this season, but I hope each of you have a good time with this small but fun cast of musical characters. Don t forget to stop by between live theater productions and take in a movie at Capitol Cinema. We have a film screening every night in Theatre B at 7 p.m. Check out CapitolCinema.net for up-to-date information on what s showing any night. Once again, thank you for your support. Please use the back page of the program to contribute to Aberdeen Community Theatre s new LED lighting retrofit of the Capitol Theatre facility. Our goal is to raise $116,000 to change the entire Capitol Marquee, which is in process, as well as every lamp and light fixture in the facility. It will make a huge difference in ongoing operating expenses in the historic Capitol Theatre. I hope you are having a great summer, it is going by so quickly. Watch for upcoming productions as well as the South Dakota Film Festival, September 20-23. Visit SouthDakotaFilmFest.org or on Facebook for more information. Be a part of this year s screenings of some terrific films as a part of South Dakota Film Festival 2018. As always, let us know what you think, and I hope you are one of the lucky winners tonight. Thanks again for coming. 2

ACT gratefully acknowledges the following organizations and individuals for gifts and pledges received for the 2018 season. Your Contributing Support is essential to managing the daily operating costs of the Capitol which includes electricity, gas, upkeep, janitorial, etc. It is only through your generous support that ACT can continue to maintain the Capitol Theatre on Aberdeen s historic Main Street while continuing our artistic growth. CAST & CREW JASON BARKMEIER (Sam/Frank) is excited to be appearing in another ACT production right on the heels of playing King Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar. He says two shows in one summer? Challenge accepted! It s kind of nice to be playing a good guy for once. He is delighted to share the stage with his lovely wife and sweetheart, Jennifer. They have one daughter, Eden. Jason has three sons; Dylan, Kobe and Lucas who live in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Jason works for Consolidated Communications as a network operations center technician. JENNIFER BARKMEIER (Honey) was last seen as part of the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar, Deloris in Sister Act, and Velma Van Tussle in Hairspray. She is a native of Webster, a teacher of art in Warner, and a longtime volunteer at ACT. Her involvement in theater has spanned several stages including The Guthrie Theatre and The Theatre in the Round. Jennifer is blessed with the love of her family, her amazing husband and wayback co-camp counselor Jason, twins Ava and Jackson, daughter Eden and step-sons Dylan, Kobe and Lucas. HEATHER DARLING (Bernice) When not working at Avera, Heather enjoys spending time with her loving husband, three children and two dogs. Though this is not her ACT debut, she has enjoyed being able to meet new actors in this production and make new friends through ACT. AYSIA EGGENA (Patsy) graduated high school this year and plans on going and getting her bachelor s degree in social work. When not on stage, you can find her working at Journey Kids Daycare. Aysia loves acting and you may have seen her as Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Jr. and as a part of the women s ensemble in Jesus Christ Superstar. She hopes you enjoy this super show and wants to thank you for supporting your community theater. CHRISTINA FISCHER (Minnie) When Christina was younger, whenever they would have company, the kids would insist on putting on a show for the adults. This was always her idea. She is grateful for having a larger pool of people to pester nowadays. She commutes from Redfield, where she is primarily a writer. LORI HARMEL (Vern) A veteran of ACT, Lori was last seen as Connie Harland in Exit Laughing. She also portrayed Mavis Busk in ACT s AACTFest entry, Mavis Pleads the Fourth where she received an Outstanding Lead Actress Award at the Regional Festival in Brainerd, MN. She also portrayed Mavis in Mavis Prez- A-Palooza, and played Meg in ACT s Girls Weekend in 2015. She received an Outstanding Actress Award at the 2015 AACTFest SD state competition and again at the Regional AACTFest in Newton, IA for her performance in ACT s Working. Lori enjoys volunteering in all aspects of community theater and is married to Matthew, a fellow ACT veteran. They have two children, Gabriel and Jillian. MICHELLE SCHAUNAMAN (Alison) is a stay-at-home mom, mother to Brody, and wife to Nick Schaunaman. The Schaunaman family business is Jimmy s Pizza where you can find Michelle making videos, Nick crafting pizzas, and Brody sweeping. Recently, you may have seen Michelle in a Jimmy s Pizza Facebook video, in the Storybook Land Theatre show, The Three Old Women s Bet, or in The Addams Family Musical as Morticia last fall. CREW NICOLE CHRISTIANSEN (Assist. Director/Stage Mgr.) has recently taken a new job at the NSU library as a staff librarian. Aside from work, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their cat, Phoebe. Nicole was last seen in Wit in April. MARILYN DAVIS (Costumes) made her ACT mainstage costuming debut for Anything Goes, after costuming many YPT shows. Since then, she has costumed more than 25 shows. Davis received Best Costumes at the 2009 AACT Region V festival for her work in ACT s How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical. GRACE GASPERICH (Keyboard) just completed her third year at NSU majoring in piano performance. She is a member of several ensembles at NSU and plays in the Municipal Band during the summer. This is her second ACT production, and she was a pit member for NSU s Next to Normal, Mary Poppins and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. 8

BARRY JAKED (Set Design/Technical Director) This is Barry s fourth show as the Technical Director for ACT. Previous credit for ACT Disney s The Little Mermaid Jr., Wit and Jesus Christ Superstar. Other credits include over 150 shows for Burning Coal Theatre Raleigh, NC, Cary Players Cary, NC, Halle Cultural Arts Center Apex, NC, North Raleigh Arts and Community Theatre Raleigh, NC, Bare Theatre Raleigh, NC. Barry is looking forward to the remainder of the 2018 season. KATIE MAGERA (Choreographer) is no stranger to the ACT/YPT stage. Katie is a senior at NSU majoring in special education. When she s not involved in a show, she is traveling and passing on her love of dance to her ballerinas. Thanks to her dance experience from Living Art Dance Studios, she has enjoyed choreographing this show alongside her talented sister, Emily Magera. EMILY MAGERA (Choreographer) is excited to be back at her home stage! She recently completed her sophomore year at the University of Sioux Falls where she is majoring in communication studies and theatre with a music minor. Emily was involved in five shows on and off stage this year at USF including Noises Off, Cougaret, A Homecoming Cabaret, and Into the Woods. Emily has had a blast choreographing this show with her sister, Katie. MISSY NGUYEN (Music Director/ Keyboards) is a music teacher at Mike Miller Elementary and is enjoying accompanying. Her household is on the move because her twin girls have just learned to crawl and are enthralled by the vizsla and chihuahuas. Her family is looking forward to the upcoming Dacotah Open, where her husband will be defending his title this year. JAMES L. WALKER (Artistic/ Managing Director) is an Aberdeen native. He has acted, directed and adjudicated professionally for more than 35 years and has been ACT s artistic/managing director for 31 years. He has earned numerous directing and scenic design awards.
