Dear Friends, We are thrilled to welcome you to the Youth America Grand Prix 18 th Season. Below, you will find a preliminary timeline to help you plan your schedule, and venue information to help you choose the right Semi-Final location for you. TIMELINE Please note that the posted timeline is NOT FINAL, and is only meant to give you an idea of how each particular semi-final will be structured. For example, the Semi-Final usually begins with the pre-competitive group performances, followed by junior groups, senior groups and ensembles. Workshops are usually planned to take place in reverse order. Each participant will take one workshop, consisting of three classes. Ensemble participants take workshops according to their age group. The updated timeline with a detailed schedule will be posted after the registration cut-off date, about five-to-six weeks prior to each semi-final. VENUE Here you will find details about all Semi-Final event facilities including theater and studios. As a general rule, the number of seats in the theater can be used as a good indicator of the size of the event -- the smaller the size of the auditorium, the more limited the capacity of the event, and vice versa. Semi-finals that take place later in the season usually get more crowded. In all cases, we recommend registering early to ensure participation in your preferred event. CHICAGO, IL (FEBRUARY 2-5, 2017) The Lund Auditorium is located on Dominican University s beautiful and historic campus, in a suburban area, 12 miles from downtown Chicago. The theater stage is on the smaller side and has a limited backstage capacity. Master Classes will take place at the Joffrey Ballet Studios, as well as at the Lou Conte Dance Studios.
