CALL TO ORDER S. Desjardins called the meeting to order at 10:07 a.m. 2. WELCOME Appointment to the Penetanguishene Senior's Committee Re: Dana Gignac S. Desjardins welcomed Dana Gignac to the Seniors Committee. 3. DECLARATION OF PECUNIARY INTEREST None were declared. Page 1 of 5

4. MINUTES i) Penetanguishene Seniors Minutes Re: November 7th, 2017 Moved by A. Charron and Seconded by D. Myers Action: THAT the minutes of November 7th, 2017, be adopted as printed. CARRIED 5. CORRESPONDENCE i) Correspondence from the Province of Ontario Re: 2017 Ontario Action Plan for Seniors It was noted that the item attachment was not added to the agenda. Action: To add item to the next meeting in April. Correspondence from Gerry Marshall, Warden, County of Simcoe Re: Simcoe County Positive Aging Strategy: Older Adults Strengthening our Communities It was noted that the item attachment was not added to the agenda. Action: To add item to the next meeting in April. 6. FINANCIAL i) Seniors Financial Report Re: Dated November and December of 2017 Action: This item was deferred. DEFERRED 7. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES i) Committee Discussions Re: Senior Driver Refresher Course April 26th, 2018 Page 2 of 5

S. Desjardins noted that A. Proulx had confirmed with S. Wraight, Ministry of Transportation that he will be presenting on April 26th, 2018. S. Desjardins provided the flyers to the Seniors Committee for distribution and noted that individuals can register at the Town office. It was noted that A. Proulx would take care of the coffee, cookies, fruit tray and gifts for the speakers. It was also mentioned that S. Wraight is to confirm if the second speaker from the OPP will be attending the event. Action: A. Proulx to confirm with S. Wraight pertaining to the second speaker. Committee Discussions Re: Seniors Information Day - Thursday, June 7th, 2018 S. Desjardins mentioned that A. Proulx will be calling vendors. S. Desjardins asked the Committee if someone can approach Pharmasave and MPP Office for donations. A. Charron confirmed that Shoppers Drug Mart will give a donation of $500.00. M. Pauze and D. Gignac will look at door prizes from their employers. Action: Staff to call vendors and M. Pauze and D. Gignac to look at door prizes for the event. 8. NEW BUSINESS i) Verbal Update from S. Desjardins Re: Main Street Reconstruction Project S. Desjardins asked the committee for feedback on the best means of keeping seniors informed of Main Street reconstruction updates. Page 3 of 5

The Committee feels that information regarding Main Street Reconstruction should be shared via the following: With Seniors Residences so the information can be shared in their newsletters and on their information boards Newspaper Seniors Information Day booth on June 7th Hand out any changes affecting the transit route on the bus Action: S. Desjardins to provide feedback to Town staff responsible for the Main Street Reconstruction Communication Plan. Verbal Update from A. Proulx Re: Senior of the Year Award The Committee discussed the Senior of the Year Award and voted and provided a name to be nominated and to be added as an item at the next Council meeting. Action: Saff to relay the information for the next Council agenda. 9. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Town bus was stopping at Georgian Village which is great; however, Seniors Council would like the driver to help people get on and get off the bus. This had been shared with the Town previously. 10. NEXT MEETING DATE i) The next meeting will be held on April 3rd, 2018. 11. ADJOURNMENT The meeting adjourned at 10:55 a.m. CHAIR Page 4 of 5
