DFREE / SHUTTERSTOCK.COM 2017 Stratford Festival Gala HONORING FOUR SEASONS HOTEL, TORONTO GALA CO-CHAIRS: BARRY AVRICH, ROBERT BADUN, WENDY PITBLADO Antoni Cimolino, Artistic Director Anita Gaffney, Executive Director

Born and raised in Toronto, Eric spent his formative years in Canadian theater, including productions of Glengarry Glen Ross and Dracula at Vancouver s Arts Club Theatre; Burn This and Henry IV at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre; Loot and Salt Water Moon at Theatre New Brunswick; and the original Canadian productions of Biloxi Blues (Citadel Theatre/Royal Alexandra Theatre) and The Dreamland (Canadian Stage). DFREE / SHUTTERSTOCK.COM In his fi ve seasons with the Stratford Festival, he appeared in seventeen productions, including Measure for Measure, Cymbeline, Much Ado About Nothing, Mother Courage and Her Children, Murder In The Cathedral and John Neville s Three Sisters. On Broadway, he starred in the title role of The Music Man in 2001, and opposite James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury in the Tony-nominated The Best Man. His lengthy television resumé includes Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years, The Andromeda Strain (A&E), Trust Me (TNT), Who Is Clark Rockefeller? (Lifetime) and Perception (TNT), which he also produced. Eight seasons as Will Truman on NBC s Emmy-winning Will & Grace earned him a SAG Award, fi ve Golden Globe nominations, and the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He just began a second season as a producer, director and lead actor on the Netfl ix series Travelers, and this fall he returns as Will for the revival of Will & Grace on NBC. Eric s one-man show The Concert I Never Gave (except for, like, 2000 times in my bedroom) has played Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles and raised over $100,000 for cancer research. He lives with his wife, Janet, and their son Finnigan, who was born on Canada Day, 2002.

ABOUT STRATFORD With William Shakespeare as its foundation, the Stratford Festival aims to set the standard for classical theater in North America. Embracing our heritage of tradition and innovation, we seek to bring classical and contemporary theater alive for an increasingly diverse audience. By searching Canada and the world for the fi nest talent, and by providing the conditions and training that enable those artists to achieve their most courageous work, we immerse our audiences in a theatergoing experience that is not only innovative, entertaining and unsurpassed anywhere in the world, but also deeply relevant to, and refl ective of, their lives and communities. All proceeds from this gala evening will support these key priorities. FESTIVAL THEATRE STAGE. PHOTOGRAPHY BY TERRY MANZO As we celebrate the Festival s 65th season and the 150th anniversary of Canada s birth as a nation, our 2017 playbill explores our sense of identity as individuals, as compatriots, and as members of the human race. THE EVENT The 2017 Stratford Festival Gala will be held in the Aria Ballroom at the Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto. The gala evening will include tributes, music and entertainment featuring Eric McCormack and Stratford Festival artists. PHOTOGRAPHY BY TOM SANDLER
