2 Lua4RC Application Hotel Lighting INTRODUCTION This script can be used to control a master lighting contact with the Auxiliary output of a VT8300 series Room Controller. The built-in logic of the Auxiliary output was designed for reheat applications. It includes a 10 seconds delay between the Effective occupancy change and the output action. Using the Lua4RC script will remove this delay and make lighting applications possible. 4 Lua4RC Application Hotel Lighting USER VARIABLES This section presents a table of Lua for VT8000 user variables and defines their use in the script. User variables can have one of two roles in a script: 1. User input: value that has to be entered by the user. It is a constant used in the script 2. Script output: the value of a script output variable is set by the script User Variables Description Type ME.BV1 Door status User input ME.BO98 BO8 activation (enable/disable lighting circuit) Script output SEQUENCE OF OPERATION This script controls the state of Auxiliary output based on room occupancy for lighting applications. Closing the contact will enable local lighting controls. Opening the contact will close all lights connected to this circuit. Room states: Unoccupied -> Room is considered unoccupied when no motion is detected for Unocc.time duration in standby state. StandBy -> Room goes to standby state 10 seconds following the door closing. Occupied -> The room becomes Occupied as soon as motion is detected. NOTE: an occupied room will not change state unless door is opened then closed. Lighting states: Enabled -> Lighting is enabled as soon as the door opens and remains enabled as long as door stays opened. Lighting is enabled as long as the room is in Occupied or Standby state.
