Mark Radford Awards to the value of 50 each may be awarded each year at the discretion of the IWMDDF, acting on recommendations by the Adjudicators, to one competitor of 18 years or under in the Vocal Classes, and one competitor of 18 years or under in the Instrumental Classes, who show particular promise. Barbara Walter Award to the value of 50 may be awarded each year at the discretion of the IWMDDF, acting on recommendation by the Vocal Adjudicator, to a competitor of 18 years or under who gives an Exceptional Vocal Performance in the Disney and Stage Song Classes (526A, 526B, 528A, 528B, 528C, 529A, 529B, 529C and 530). Scottish Fiddlers Award to the value of 20 will be awarded to the individual violinist giving the best violin performance of the Festival in the opinion of the Adjudicator. Newport Parish Council Challenge Shield for Junior School Choir. THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO BOTH THE SENIOR & JUNIOR SECTIONS (To be read in conjunction with the Main Festival Rules) 1. Own Choice items have a time limit of 8 minutes, unless otherwise stated. This time limit must be strictly adhered to or the performance may be stopped by the Adjudicator. 2. Own Choice pieces may not be repeated within 5 years; please note that this rule prevents the performance of any item more than once in this Festival. 3. A hard copy of Own Choice music must be supplied to the Adjudicator. 4. Competitors of any age (unless otherwise stated) who are holders of Diplomas and are either amateurs or professionals are eligible to enter OPEN Classes. 5. The Closing Date for all entries is: 8 th December 2018.
