Product Speciications I/ Series Hardware ontrol Processor 60 Simplex The ontrol Processor 60 Simplex (P60S) is a station that perorms regulatory, logic, timing, and sequential control together with connected ieldbus odules (s). It also perorms data acquisition (via the ieldbus odules) and alarm detection and notiication. The ontrol Processor 60S is a single-width processor module that does not provide ault-tolerant capability. It supports two basic types o s, those included in the IN rail mounted subsystem (201, 202, and so orth), and Y-odule orm actor s (01, 02, and so orth). It also supports communication with the Hydrostatic Interace Unit (HIU), ass lowmeter, and Panel isplay Stations, SPTRU igration, and ompetitor igration S ieldbus odules. or details, see evices Supported on page 2. The ontrol Processor 60 communicates with all associated devices via a bps thernet trunk ieldbus. The interace between the devices (s) and the bps thernet trunk ieldbus is via ieldbus ommunications odules ( or modules) and/or IN ieldbus onverter odules ( or ) or ieldbus Isolators (I modules). iagnostics The ontrol Processor 60S uses three types o diagnostic tests to detect and/or isolate aults: Power-up sel-checks Run-time and watchdog timer checks O-line diagnostics.

Page 2 Power-up sel-checks are sel-initiated when power is applied to the control processor. These checks perorm sequential tests on the various control processor unctional elements. Red and green indicators at the ront o the control processor module relect the successul (or unsuccessul) completion o the various phases o the control processor startup sequence. The run-time and watchdog timer checks provide continuous monitoring o control processor unctions during normal system operations. The operator is inormed o a malunction by means o printed or displayed system messages. O-line diagnostics are temporarily loaded into the system or the purpose o perorming comprehensive tests and checks on various system stations and devices.
