About Spotlight Spotlight is a Fine Arts event equipping kids to be the SPOT for God's LIGHT to shine! It is our goal and intention to gently direct kids to discover what they are gifted to do and help them to develop to excellence. This is NOT a competition and students will not be scored or compared to other presenters. Each student will receive feedback based on his or her presentation alone. This event is for kids in 1 st 6 th grades. THEME ALL presentations MUST follow the overarching theme: YOUR STORY I will praise you to all my brothers; I will stand up before the congregation and testify of the wonderful things you have done. Psalms 22:22 (TLB) MUSIC SELECTION When using music it must be Christian Music or Instrumental. Any audio needed for presentations should be brought on a CD. 4

CODE OF CONDUCT Our goals are to glorify Christ and to encourage each other. Parents, leaders, students, and guests are expected to demonstrate integrity, respect, and support for all other churches, teams, evaluators, participants and volunteers. An overly competitive attitude, rudeness, or unsportsmanlike conduct is not acceptable and will be addressed by leadership. Anyone being disrespectful or generally disruptive during another student s presentation will be asked to leave the presentation room immediately. Cheer on your peers and encourage them! And he said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39 5
