Quick Start Guide 900432-001 Rev. 01 May 2010 This guide is intended as a brief overview of the Barfly installation process. For a complete copy of the Barfly Installation and Setup Guide (p/n 900393-001), visit the TouchTunes/Barfly Dashboard at https://operator.touchtunes.com. Before performing these procedures, ensure that AC power is switched off. Step 1: Disconnect all alternate video sources to the screen. See page 9 of Installation and Setup Guide. The scaler accepts only component and composite inputs. If your video source has only an RF (coaxial) output, you will require a tuner and the necessary adapter cables (included with kit EK3). Step 3: Connect Barfly computer to scaler See page 11 of Installation and Setup Guide. Step 6: Install the Hard Drive See page 24 of the Installation and Setup Guide. 1. Ensure that the Barfly computer is powered OFF. 2. Align the hard drive tray with its slot on the front panel of the computer. 3. Insert the hard drive tray in the slot and then gently push the tray in until it is completely seated. 1. Connect your laptop computer and the Barfly computer to available LAN ports on the router. Router Operator s portable computer Barfly Computer To scaler 2. Open a Web browser and establish a connection to the Barfly computer by typing the IP address into the address field, concatenated with the string /operator. Enter operator and flyonthewall for username and password, respectively, when prompted. 4. Using your fingers, push in and then tighten the thumb screw (clockwise) on the hard drive tray until the thumb screw is securely tightened. Step 7: Power up the scaler and computer See page 26 of the Installation and Setup Guide. 1. Power up the scaler by connecting the AC adaptor to the 5V DC inlet on the rear panel and to a properly grounded electrical outlet. 5V DC inlet Main power switch 2. When the welcome screen displays, press Start to begin the calibration process and follow the on-screen instructions.
