Some examples may be Disney day, pajama day or crazy hair day, etc. Accountability: While camp rehearsals are designed to be a fun and relaxing summer experience, students are still expected to come to camp prepared and with the best possible attitude. If a student is absent from camp it is their responsibility to get caught up by a camp counselor as soon as possible.
Attire and Materials: Each student should come to rehearsal in comfortable attire that they can move well in. T-shirts, tank tops, shorts, jeans and jazz or simple tennis shoes are all acceptable attire. Students should not come to rehearsal in skirts, tube tops, sandals or, especially, flip-flops. It is best if students wear the same pair of shoes to camp rehearsals as they will be wearing during their performances. Students with long hair should have it tied back for each rehearsal. Other important materials which should be brought to each rehearsal include: a notebook, the show script and score, a pencil, a snack and a water bottle. Costumes: While at camp your student will enjoy tie-dying their own show t-shirt (provided by SCA) which they will wear, along with jeans and jazz or simple tennis shoes, during their performances of Scripts: The script handed out at the beginning of camp are your child s to keep. However, it is a good idea to encourage your student to write their name on their show materials and to only write in their scripts in pencil. Practice Music: In the past SCA has provided music CD s to all cast members for the purpose of practicing at home. This year we will instead make both the vocal guide music and accompaniment available through file sharing on the city server. Students will be able to download the music files and utilize them in whatever way is most convenient for them. Please look for more information in an email to come soon. Ticket Information: tickets are $8.00 each. Show fliers will be distributed within the first week of camp. Prior to the show parents are encouraged to invite family, friends and neighbors to come to the upcoming performance by email and word of mouth. *Tickets will be on sale to cast members and their families only beginning 6/13.
