Randolph Community Band 2018-2019 Welcome to the Randolph Community Band (RCB)! Logistics and Etiquette 1. Rehearsals are on Wed. from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Randolph High School unless otherwise noted. Rehearsal schedule, including any cancellations will be communicated via email. 2. Please be on time to rehearsals. If you have a known absence or lateness upcoming, please email the Music Director/Interim Music Director know one week prior to the rehearsal. 3. The band is a community, which means that all members need to contribute in different ways to help keep the organization thriving. Volunteering can include helping with concert decorations, equipment movement, setting up the rehearsal room, copying music, soliciting donations, selling tickets to concerts, and more. All members are expected to contribute as they are able. 4. The rehearsal before each concert is considered a Dress Rehearsal and attendance is mandatory. Unexcused Dress Rehearsals will result in a member being asked not to perform. Please contact the Music Director if you are aware of a conflict. 5. In the event that a member has habitual (2) unexcused absences (i.e. one without proper prior notification), or prolonged absence during a concert cycle, this will result in a notification from the Membership Committee, and, at the discretion of the Music Director, may result in a member being asked to sit out for a concert cycle. Cost of Membership As a non-profit organization, in order to maintain the running and operation costs to keep bringing music to our local communities, members are asked to pay a Membership Fee in the form of Annual Dues. Adults: Adults are asked to pay $40 Annual Dues*; or $20 per semester (Fall/Winter And Spring). In addition, members will pay $35 for a discounted ticket for the Dinner Concert held in March. Students: Students (high school and college) are asked to pay $20 Annual Dues*; or $10 per semester. Students do not need to purchase a ticket for the Dinner Concert. *If you are a member who is only playing in the RCB Summer Winds, dues are $10 for the summer season. We encourage the widest possible membership and any person s inability to pay dues will not prohibit participation in the band.
