As we begin our 41st year, we look forward to bringing another season of affordable, quality theater to Marco Island. This season we bring you plays and playwrights who have graced many New York, as well as community theater stages. Love is in the Air this season! This summer we celebrated the heat of summer with a double dip of comedy. Sylvia by A.R. Gurney made its appearance in June. In August, Shooting Star by Steven Dietz hits the stage for three weeks. First on stage this 2015-2016 season is Joe DiPietro s Art of Murder, a funny who s going to do the murder mystery. Our January production is Bernard Slade s, Same Time, Next Year, about a couple who meet for a rendezvous each year. Oops! They are married to other people. In March, Rose s Dilemma by Neil Simon graces our stage. This is a love story about a ghost writer that Simon wrote later in his career. Jerry Mayer is our fourth playwright of 2 Across, about a couple who meets on the 4:30 am train. The trip becomes a witty, hilarious, romantic and poignant 80-minute ride for these two strangers. Our Lunch Box Series and Special Productions will be filled with laughter, music and mystery. A history lesson with humor from Shakespeare in Paradise s Henry V; Janina Birtolo s historical story of Catherine de Medici; Shakespeare Festival and Marco Island Academy s holiday production of Gift of the Magi and a stormy production of The Tempest. You ll also enjoy a little Broadway music with McKerrow and Friends and a mix of who done it added in with The Man Who Married His Mother-In-Law. To continue to bring you the best in theater, and cover the increased costs of royalties, marketing and ticketing, we have found it necessary to raise ticket prices just slightly. We will continue to waive the processing fee for box office and online purchase of tickets. Please consider donating, becoming a corporate sponsor, or volunteering with The Marco Players. If you would like to make a donation to the theater, please go to our website and donate or mail your check to P.O. Box 2033 Marco Island 34146. If you are interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor, or to volunteer please call 404-5198. To make our coming season the best for our patrons, we are including a Champagne and Strawberries event on Opening Night before each of our four main shows. We are grateful for your support and commitment to your community theater. We look forward to leading The Marco Players through another year of exciting theatrical productions. See you at the theater! Beverly Dahlstrom Artistic Director Proud Member of Theater Partners

How Does A Community Theater Survive? As a non-profit community theater, we survive through ticket sales, but we thrive because of two things--the committed work of our volunteers and donations from individuals and businesses. With increases in operational expenses, we found it necessary to increase our ticket prices. Even a not-for-profit community theater experiences increases in the cost of living. The Marco Players success depends on a wide range of operations including volunteer recruitment and training, play selection, stage design and construction, marketing and promotions, bookkeeping, fundraising, and administrative tasks including effective contract negotiation with vendors and other support contractors. Give the Gift of Live Theater! Gift Certificates Available Christmas Anniversary Birthday Father s or Mother s Day Thank-You Gift Fill out the form located at the bottom of the page on our website. The Marco Players Theater is run by volunteers, and there is always room for more people to join our theater family. When you volunteer, you will work with others in a positive, creative environment where you ll find committed leadership and a staff of friendly, talented people! We are currently seeking volunteers to work with our production team doing lights and sound, stage management, backstage management, and with hospitality.
