Please look at the table below: If you experience any difficulties with your system please contact us via the number on the back of this booklet. QUESTION YOUR SYSTEM INSTRUCTIONS Is your system grey with Open, Stop and Close buttons on the receiver unit and a light on top? RollerTec Pages 1 & 2 Is your system grey with a Tri - Colour Led (Red, Yellow, Green) in the front cover? ROLLERTEC Adding Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) Maximum 30 Transmitters Transmitters can either be added using the onboard Dipswitches or with a transmitter that is already loaded onto the control unit. Note the manufacturers code for the transmitter must match the manufacturers code for the receiver, if they do not match, you cannot add that particular transmitter on to the system, the LED will flash RED, GREEN then YELLOW once quickly, if they are not compatible. Dipswitch Method (Take care when removing lid as it is attached to circuit board) 1. Turn Dipswitch 1, switches 1, 2 & 3 OFF and 4 ON and then wait 2 seconds. The lid-mounted signal LED will give a quick YELLOW flash. 2. Press the open button on the board. The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to flashing GREEN. 3. Now press the top green button on the new transmitter once and release The flashing LED will stay on for 1 second each time it accepts a new transmitter. 4. Repeat step 3 for all other transmitters to be added on to the system. If you do not select Add mode the unit will time out and flash the signal LED, RED / GREEN. To return to flashing YELLOW press the stop button on the board. To exit programming mode set dipswitch 1, switch 4 to OFF Existing Transmitter Method 1. Press and hold down the Grey button on a transmitter that is already loaded onto the control unit. The lid-mounted signal LED will flash YELLOW slowly; keep the button held down until it flashes YELLOW quickly. 2. Release the Grey Button. The lid-mounted signal LED will continue to flash YELLOW quickly. 3. Press the top green button on the same transmitter once. The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to flashing GREEN. 4. Now press the top green button on the new transmitter once and release. The flashing LED will change to continuous for 1 second each time it accepts a new transmitter. 5. Repeat step 4 for other transmitters to be added on to the system. 6. Thirty seconds after loading the last transmitter the LED changes to flashing yellow for ten seconds and then returns to normal running mode. Alternatively you can press the top green button of a transmitter that has just been loaded, this will take it straight back to normal running mode. 1

Deleting Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) Transmitters can either be deleted using the onboard dipswitches or with a transmitter that is already loaded onto the control unit. Dipswitch Method Warning: - This will remove all the existing transmitters from the system. 1. Turn Dipswitch 1, switch 1, 2 & 3 OFF and 4 ON, wait 2 seconds. The lid-mounted signal LED will give a quick YELLOW flash. 2. Press and hold down the stop button on the board until the following sequence has been carried out The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to a fast flashing RED. After 10 seconds it will turn solid RED, after a further 5 seconds it will turn solid YELLOW and then after a further 2 seconds solid GREEN for 2 seconds. You must release the stop button when the LED is GREEN. All transmitters have now been deleted from the system. The lid-mounted signal LED will flash RED/YELLOW/GREEN repeatedly until Dipswitch 4 is turned OFF. If you do not select Delete mode the unit will time out and flash the LED, RED / GREEN. To return to flashing YELLOW press the stop button on the board. To exit programming mode set dipswitch 4 to OFF Existing Transmitter Method Warning: - This will remove all the existing transmitters from the system except for the one used during this process. 1. Press and hold down the Grey button on the existing transmitter. The lid-mounted signal LED will flash YELLOW slowly; keep the button held down until it flashes YELLOW quickly. 2. Release the Grey Button. The lid-mounted signal LED will continue to flash YELLOW quickly. 3. Press the stop button on the same transmitter until the following sequence has been carried out The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to a fast flashing RED. After 10 seconds it will turn solid RED, after a further 5 seconds it will turn solid YELLOW and then after a further 2 seconds solid GREEN for 2 seconds. You must release the stop button when the LED is GREEN. All transmitters except the one used to carry out the delete command have now been deleted from the system and it will automatically return to normal running mode. 2

ROLLERTEC MULTI-CHANNEL Selecting & Deleting Channels on the Multi-Channel Key Fob The RollerTec Multi-Channel Key Fob has been designed to control up to 8 separate roller shutters. The key fob has 8 separate channels and gives the user individual open, stop and close buttons for each shutter. The 8 different channels are indicated via the small LED in the top right hand corner of the key fob and are as follows: Channel NEW LED Sequence OLD LED Sequence ONE 1 X RED FLASH YELLOW-RED-RED-RED TWO 2 X RED FLASH YELLOW-GREEN-GREEN-GREEN THREE 3 X RED FLASH YELLOW-GREEN-GREEN-RED FOUR 4 X RED FLASH YELLOW-GREEN-RED-GREEN FIVE 5 X RED FLASH YELLOW-GREEN-RED-RED SIX 6 X RED FLASH YELLOW-RED-GREEN-GREEN SEVEN 7 X RED FLASH YELLOW-RED-GREEN-RED EIGHT 8 X RED FLASH YELLOW-RED-RED-GREEN Selecting and Commissioning a Channel 1. Press and hold down the grey button on an existing key fob and release the button when the LED on the key fob starts to flash Yellow. 2. Whilst the LED is flashing yellow press the grey button again to begin scrolling through the channels. Each press of the grey button will select the next channel in the sequence. Stop when you reach the channel you require. 3. To commission the channel press the top green button once, the LED on the RollerTec will flash green and then yellow, press the top green button again the LED will flash green and then yellow. Pressing the top green button a third time will display the commissioned channel on the LED. The LED will then go out. Deleting a Channel 1. Press the grey button consecutively until the channel you require is displayed on the LED in the top right hand corner. 2. Wait for 10 seconds 3. Press and hold down the grey button until the LED on the key fob starts to flash yellow, then release. 4. Press and hold down the RED button, only release the RED button when the LED is green, this takes about 15 seconds. 5. The LED will flash RED, YELLOW, GREEN four times to confirm that the channel was deleted successfully. 3

Adding Transmitters (Blue, 4-Button) Maximum 60 Transmitters Transmitters can either be added using the onboard Dipswitches or with a transmitter that is already loaded onto the control unit. Dipswitch Method 1. Turn Dipswitch 1, switch 1, 2 & 3 OFF and 4 ON and then wait 2 seconds. The lid-mounted signal LED will give a rapid YELLOW flash. 2. Press the open button on the board. The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to flashing GREEN (Note: If there are already Multi-Channel Transmitters currently on the system, the channel the transmitter will be added to will be displayed before the LED flashes green. 3. Now press the top green button on the new transmitter twice and release The flashing LED will display the added channel acknowledging that the Multi- Channel Key Fob was successfully added, the LED will revert back to flashing green. 4. Repeat step 3 for all other transmitters to be added on to the system. If you do not select Add mode the unit will time out and flash the signal LED, RED /GREEN. To return to flashing YELLOW press the stop button on the board. To exit programming mode set dipswitch 4 to OFF Existing Transmitter Method 1. Press and hold down the Grey button on a transmitter that is already loaded onto the control unit. The lid-mounted signal LED will flash YELLOW slowly; keep the button held down until it flashes YELLOW quickly. (This takes 20 Seconds) 2. Release the Grey Button. The lid-mounted signal LED will continue to flash YELLOW quickly. 3. Press the top green button on the same transmitter once. The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to flashing GREEN (After displaying the channel the transmitter will be added to). 4. Now press the top green button on the new transmitter twice and release. The flashing LED will display the added channel acknowledging that the Multi- Channel Key Fob was successfully added, the LED will revert back to flashing green. 5. Repeat step 4 for other transmitters to be added on to the system. 6. Press the stop button on the same transmitter until the following sequence has been carried out The flashing LED will change from flashing YELLOW to a fast flashing RED. After 10 seconds it will turn solid RED, after a further 5 seconds it will turn solid YELLOW and then after a further 2 seconds solid GREEN for 2 seconds. You must release the stop button when the LED is GREEN. All transmitters except the one used to carry out the delete command have now been deleted from the system and it will automatically return to normal running mode. 5

RF02 GARAGE Adding Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) Maximum 14 Transmitters 1. Isolate the power to the unit. 2. Go to the unit on the wall and remove the cover (Take Care: Lid is attached to circuit board) 3. You will see a blue block in the top left hand corner of the board. In the block are four mini white switches. 4. Make a note of the current position of these switches. 5. Change the settings of the switches to 1 = ON, 2 = OFF, 3 = OFF, 4 = OFF 6. Turn the power to the unit back on. 7. Take the key fob that needs loading on to the system. Press the top green button once, the light on the front of the unit will flash once. 8. Repeat step 7 with any other key fobs that need adding to the system. 9. Isolate the power to the unit. 10. Reset the dipswitches to their original setting (Noted down in step 4) 11. Turn the power back on to the unit. 12. The new key fobs will now all be working Deleting Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) Note: All Transmitters Will Be Deleted 1. Isolate the power to the unit. 2. Remove the front cover. Make a note of the current dip switch settings. 3. Move the dip switches so that they are set to the following 1 = OFF 2 = ON 3 = OFF 4 = ON 4. Turn the power back on to the unit. The red light located on the front cover will flash on and off slowly for 10 seconds. This indicates that all the key fobs have been deleted from the system. 5. Turn off the power to the control box and reset the dipswitches to their original setting. 6. Turn the power back on to the unit. 6

RF02 Garage Multi-Channel Adding Transmitters (Blue, 4-Button) Maximum 14 Transmitters 1. Isolate the power to the unit. 2. The LED on the unit on the wall will flash once. 8. Repeat step 7 with any other key fobs that need adding to the system. 9. Isolate the power to the unit. 10. Reset the dipswitches to their original setting (Noted down in step 4) 11. Turn the power back on to the unit. 12. The new key fobs will now all be working Deleting Transmitters (Blue, 4-Button) Note: All Transmitters Will Be Deleted 1. Isolate the power to the unit. 2. Remove the front cover. RF02 Commercial Adding Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) Maximum 14 Transmitters 1. Take one of the existing working key fobs. 2. Make sure that you can see the LED in the front cover of the receiver unit. 3. Press and hold down the grey button on the existing working key fob for 5 seconds. 4. The light on the front of the unit will change state. Release the button. 5. Take the new key fob that needs adding on to the system. 6. Press the top green button once, the light on the unit will flash once to acknowledge the transmitter. 7. If you have more than one key fob to add repeat step 6 until you have added all key fobs on to the system. 8. Wait for 15 seconds. The unit will return to normal operating mode. All key fobs will now be working. Or alternatively press the top green button on an existing key fob. Please Note: If the above procedure does not work, please revert to the adding instructions given on page 6. Deleting Transmitters (Grey, 4-Button) To delete the key fobs from the system you need to use a key fob that already operates the door. All key fobs will be deleted from the system apart from the one you use for the following procedure. 1. Press and hold down the grey button on the key fob until the following sequence occurs. (The LED on the unit will change state. After a further 10 seconds the LED will come on and stay on). 2. Release the grey button 3. Press and hold down the red button until the following sequence occurs (The LED on the unit will change state. After a further 10 seconds the LED will come on and stay on). 4. Release the red button and the LED on the unit will flash 3 times before the receiver resets. 5. All transmitters have now been deleted from the system. Please Note: If the above procedure does not work, please revert to the deleting instructions given on page 6 8

TROUBLESHOOTING In the event that your key fob(s) should fail to operate your system, after you have followed the relevant instructions, please contact PDT for further assistance. Please make sure that you have the serial number from the back of each key fob when you call. SERIAL NUMBER ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS FOR YOUR SYSTEM PDT POWER SERIES (CONTINUAL ACCESS TO PREMISES WHEN MAINS POWER FAILS) The PDT Power Series is a unique product that has been designed to provide power for roller shutters when mains power is not available. The system can be set to provide standby power for up to 100 days. Dependant on battery age and condition, during a power failure the unit will have enough power to provide up to eight complete shutter cycles. The Power Series is currently available in four different sizes, providing power back up to all single-phase roller shutter motors that are rated at a maximum of 600 watts. The Power Series is fitted with PDT s radio receiver, integrating wireless activation with the company s full range of products. A double pole key switch must be used for conventional key switch installations WIRELESS KEY PADS (ADDITIONAL SECURE OPERATION OF THE SHUTTER FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE PREMISES) Wireless Key Pad - Standard The standard wireless keypad is a unique product from P D Technology providing the user with total piece of mind on the security of their premises. The keypad requires a four - eight digit code to be entered before the roller shutter can be opened or closed. With no wiring required the keypad s installation time is significantly reduced.
