While Irish filmmakers such as Neil Jordan and Jim Sheridan have achieved international acclaim, IRISHFILMFESTA aims to explore more thoroughly Irish Cinema and emerging Irish Film talent and introduce this work to Italy. The IRISHFILMFESTA is distinguished by its uniqueness. It is the only festival in Italy dedicated entirely to Irish film. This provides our sponsors with an opportunity to connect with the large Irish community in Italy and with the festivals growing number of Italian supporters and film enthusiasts. FILMS IN ORIGINAL LANGUAGE The rhythm of the language, the choice of words, the cultural references and the authentic voices are fundamental to understanding the meaning of a foreign film as intended by those who created it. However, in Italy it is very difficult to find films in original version especially in cinemas - even in the Fionnula Flanagan s Masterclass
