Drama Theatre Guild Private Coaching The Fox Valley Theatre Guild is a group of adults in the Fox Valley community interested in performing arts and supporting the arts in the community. In the Spotlight New orks Playwright Festival Play Submissions The Premiere Theatre Company is accepting submissions for the second annual New orks Playwright Festival. Plays may be formatted as full-length (30 to 100 minutes) or short works (30 minutes or less). Plays must be unproduced and original, and adaptations are accepted, but not translations. Plays that have previously received a workshop or university production are considered unproduced. More than one submission is allowed per playwright. At this time, we cannot accommodate musicals for the Festival. Several plays will be chosen for staged readings at the annual new orks Playwright Festival, which will be held at Sept. 19. Playwrights may direct or choose a director, and casting/rehearsals are the responsibility of the playwright. The Premiere Theatre Company will host auditions for interested playwrights in August to seek additional actors. Rehearsal space is available at Prisco for interested artistic teams, and each play will receive one technical rehearsal on stage the week before the festival. Early bird submission fee is $20 per play for plays received before June 10. Submissions after June 10 are $25 per play and due no later than June 30. If a play is chosen, production fees are the responsibility of the playwright and must be paid by Sept. 1: $85 for full-length plays and $25 for short works.
