The beginning of a career. -Webster's Dictionary Founded in 1991, Debut Theatre Company is committed to setting the standard for children s theatre. Based on a professional theatre troupe, Debut is the only hands-on, year-round, non-profit, troupe-structured, progressional children s theatre school in Colorado. The members are the actors, as well as participants in the design and construction of everything from posters to costumes to sets. Debut s members are Debut! Debut offers troupes, classes and workshops for a wide range of ages, talents and interest levels; each celebrates with a final performance in front of an audience. Members experience a variety of performance venues, including the Lincoln Center Magnolia Theatre and Debut s own Black Box Theatre. Debut was formed both as an outlet for creative young people, as well as to provide theatre that could be enjoyed by the entire family. Theatre is more than just acting; the show becomes a team effort that the members can take pride in. Theatre, at its finest, is an enriching, educational and fulfilling experience for performer and audience alike. As young people experience the show from both sides of the footlights, we hope they will gain a further appreciation of theatre and how important their part in it is.
