WELLBEATS INSTALLATION PROCESS Project Road Map We re thrilled to be partnering with you in delivering the premier virtual fitness solution at your facility. This document will help you prepare for the installation of your hardware. Please share this guide with all those involved in preparing the room for installation. A WELLBEATS project manager is assigned to your order and will be your primary contact throughout room preparation, shipment and installation of your system. Your project manager will reach out to you after your order is placed with WELLBEATS. Project Kick-Off Prepare the Room Ship & Installation Onboarding Once WELLBEATS receives your order, an email will be sent to you with important information to kick-off your project. Complete the Pre-installation Site Survey (page 6) and return it to your WELLBEATS project manager. Provide your project manager with photos of the room and desired location(s) of the interactive touchscreen and TV. Confirm shipping address and request shipment of the equipment. If included in your order, installation is scheduled with a WELLBEATS representative. Once installation is complete, WELLBEATS provides virtual onboarding and ongoing client resources. Page 3
KEY REQUIREMENTS HARDWIRED INTERNET REQUIREMENT: The WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen needs continuous access to the internet. Without it, operating stability, new content and technical support cannot be provided. A WIFI connection does NOT provide the necessary stability to the system. We want your system to run at its prime and that requires a hardwired internet line. MAKE SURE THE CABLES WILL FIT: The system components are connected via cabling. You will need 1.5 conduit with pull string between the touchscreen location and television. Conduit smaller than 1.5 poses significant difficulties to successfully connecting the necessary cables. Use the mounting diagram (Appendix B) to identify where to best place outlets and conduit openings to make room for the mounts. Internet Touchscreen Terminated Cat5e line Must be active at time of install MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE WALL PLEASE MAKE ROOM FOR THE WELLBEATS INSTALL: The WELLBEATS touchscreen and TV cannot be mounted on mirrors or other hard, decorative surfaces. Please reference page 5 to determine the necessary cut-outs before mirror installation. CONTENT SUBSCRIPTION: WELLBEATS content and technical support require an active subscription. PREPARE THE ROOM Electrical Touchscreen: duplex outlet 45 above finished floor TV: duplex outlet 72 above finished floor 1.5 Conduit Internet Cat5e Conduit 1.5 conduit is a requirement for the WELLBEATS system. This allows for WELLBEATS to install the low voltage cables at the time of installation. 72 AFF TV Electrical Hardwired Internet Line The WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen requires an active, hardwired internet connection at the time of installation. Does the outlet have power? If not, when will the power be live? Are there any mirrors or objects that may obstruct the mounting of the Touchscreen? Are there any mirrors or objects that may obstruct the mounting of the TV? (See page 5) Conduit Checklist Is there 1.5 between the TV and Touchscreen locations? *Cables will not fit through conduit smaller than 1.25 Does the conduit have a pull string? If there is no conduit, please provide photos of the room and contact your WELLBEATS project manager. Is there a hardwired (Cat5e) internet cable at the Touchscreen location? (See page 5) Is the internet active? If not, when will it become active? Page 6
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Run Directional HDMI Cable Install Touchscreen Connect Internet Run cable through the provided 1.5 conduit between the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen and TV. IMPORTANT: The sender side of the directional HDMI cable must be at the WELLLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen and the receiver side of the directional cable at the TV. The cable is labeled with stickers to identify sender and receiver ends. ADDITIONAL CABLE RUNS IF INSTALLING WELLBEATS TV BUNDLE Run 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm from Interactive Touchscreen to soundbar. Run 50 USB cable from Interactive Touchscreen to TV. At TV side connect USB to serial cable to 50 USB cable. Attach the 90 degree serial coupler to TV. Use the wall or floor stand mount to secure the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen into place. Connect the sender side of the directional HDMI cable to the pre-installed HDMI breakout cable. Connect the customer provided Cat5e internet cable to the RJ45 port on the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen. Receiver Side Install TV Mount Install the TV mount and hang the TV at the customer requested location. Mount the soundbar tightly against the bottom of the TV using the soundbar adapter kit. Connect Cables to TV Connect the receiver side of the directional HDMI cable into the TV s HDMI port 1 IF INSTALLING WELLBEATS TV BUNDLE Connect the 3.5 mm cable directly into the soundbar. Connect the serial cable into the TV using the 90 degree serial coupler. Page 7
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Plug-in Touchscreen & TV Program TV Select HDMI Input - Turn on TV and select the HDMI input that is connected to the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen. If using a WELLBEATS provided TV, connect the HDMI using port 1. IF INSTALLING WELLBEATS TV BUNDLE Enable Quick Start Mode Navigate to Menu > Initial Set Up > Quick Start Mode > On. Program soundbar to Auto Wake Using the soundbar remote, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. You will hear an audible beep when the setting is enabled. Soundbar Bass Adjustment Select Bass on the remote and press + to increase the bass level. On Screen Instructions Test a Class Using the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen, select a class and press Play Class. The same image should display on both the WELLBEATS Interactive Touchscreen and TV. Increase the volume on the app to 100 percent and set the TV or soundbar volume to the customer s maximum level preference. Next, adjust the app volume down to 50 to 75 percent. IF INSTALLING WELLBEATS TV BUNDLE The TV should turn on automatically when a class is initiated and should turn off upon class completion or cancellation.
