Projects in process - Texts on Theory and Practice of Orff Schulwerk: Translation into Greek and Russian - Expanding the Network of Associated Schools and Institutions 6. Changing the name of the Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg 7. Award of the OSF for longstanding dedication and commitment 8. Other business - Orff-Schulwerk Italiano presents new publications to the OSF - How to make the topics, discussions, arguments and results of the Convention best known to board and members of the international OS Associations - English additions to websites and magazines, links. 2

ad 1: Welcome etc. The president welcomes representatives of the Carl Orff-Foundation (COS), delegates of international Orff Schulwerk Associations (OSA) and Affiliated Institutions and Schools (ASI), colleagues of the Orff Institute, individual members and guests and opens the assembly. The minutes of the assembly of the previous year are carried unanimously. ad 2: Report of activities of the board of directors BH and AO give a report about the activities of the previous year. A written report is presented. ad 3: Treasurer s report for 2015 The treasurer SC presents the report. Expenses include the collaboration of Esther Bacher, the assistance of Mirjam Bauer and other helpers during the last Convention, stationary and mailing, travel expenses of board members as well as part of the production costs of Orff-Schulwerk Heute. CSt and ShS bring forward the motion to discharge the treasurer which is accepted unanimously. The board of directors is discharged. ad 4: Newly founded Orff Schulwerk Associations BH welcomes the newly founded OSA, Associated Schools and Institutions: - Hong Kong Orff Schulwerk Association (HOSA) - Georgian Orff Schulwerk Association GEORFF. The president of GEORFF, Ekaterina Chubinidze, expresses her gratitude. - KONSTI Kindergarten in Kerava/ Finland - STUDY COURSE ELEMENTAL MUSIC PEDAGOGY at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München/Germany ad 5: Projects of the Orff-Schulwerk Forum 5.1. Accomplished projects The following journals have been published: - ORFF SCHULWERK HEUTE 93 Interculturality in the Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy (Winter 2015) - ORFF SCHULWERK HEUTE 94 Interculturality in the Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy II (Summer 2016) BH expresses her gratitude towards the Carl Orff Foundation for the continuing financial support granted. 5.2. Projects in progress - Translations of the Study Texts in progress: Greek (the edition will include contemporary articles) Russian (planned) - a second volume of the Study Texts is planned. - the theme of the next edition of ORFF SCHULWERK HEUTE will be the theme of the Convention 2016 - BH shares the idea of expanding the network of Affiliated Schools: each country with an OSA should have an Affiliated School. Please contact BH if you are interested or have any ideas or suggestions. ad 6. Changing the name of the Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg Since several OSAs have a Forum on their websites, the board of the OSF suggests a change of name: International Orff Schulwerk Forum Salzburg 3

The motion was put forward by Verena Maschat and seconded by ShS to change the name to: International Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg After a short discussion, several members come forward with alternative suggestions: - International Orff Schulwerk Forum - Orff Schulwerk International - Maintain Orff Schulwerk Forum Salzburg. At this point, members are asked if they agree to an open voting. According to the statutes it is necessary to have a 2/3 majority to carry a motion. This was reached. International Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg ad 7. Award of the OSF for longstanding dedication and commitment BH awards the honorary membership of the Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg to Miriam Samuelson. ad 8: Other business - Marcella Sanna and Francesca Lanz from Orff-Schulwerk Italiano present five new publications. - ShS suggests that the minutes of the Convention shoud be accessible to the members of each OSA. A reduced version (without the discussions) could be sent by email to all members or put on the website, accessible only for members with a password. - BH reminds the OSAs to use the logo on their websites - The associations are reminded that it is necessary to apply for the logo before using it. - BH would appreciate it if there were essential information in English on all websites. - BH expresses her gratitude to the associations that financially support other associations and seeks support for another four associations in need of financial help to pay their membership fee. Addendum: Title of the Convention 2017: Orff Schulwerk and Contemporary Artistic Expression With this theme, we accept Orff s challenge to keep the OS evolving as we: consider music, dance, visual arts, poetry and theatre developments in recent decades that reveal promising directions for the future; acknowledge that since the 1930s there is an increasing variety of rooms of artistic expression; -recognize that we live in a pluralistic, post-modern world; find new ways of realizing Orff Schulwerk principles within each unique cultural context.
