Sample Service Hour Opportunities: Important Things You Must Know About Service Hour Sign Up! 1) All families under tuition plans A & C MUST complete 4 hours per family at the FALL FEST or they will be billed $50 per hour not worked. (Yikes!). 2) Volunteer Sign-up is completed via Sign-Up- Genius. Go-Live Date is scheduled for Tuesday, October 3 rd at 9:00 PM. You will NOT be able to sign up earlier! Specific instructions will come out in the Monday school packets prior to October 3 rd. 3) Volunteer spots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. 4) You are responsible for signing up for the number of hours that you need and for working the number of hours that you sign up for. In addition to signing in and out at the fall fest, please remember to enter your hours online and submit them for approval. There are some shifts on Friday, October 20, and Sunday October 22. Most shifts are 2 hours that run from: 4-6 pm 6-8 pm 8-10 pm *Please note that the shifts are alphabetized on Sign Up Genius and aren t listed by date. **Double hours can be earned for set-up, tear down, kitchen clean up, trash pick-up and bathroom duty. However the entire shift must be completed to earn the double hours. Partially completed shifts will earn only the actual hours worked.. 5) We always run short of volunteers so if you can work more than 4 hours, PLEASE do so. Hours worked beyond the required 4 will be counted towards Regular School Service hours. 6) Sign-Up Genius will close Tuesday, October 10 th at 5 pm and then your shift is locked in. FALL FEST SERVICE HOURS Please take the time to read through the two separate flyers on Important Things You Need to Know Regarding Service Hours Sign Up and Baking Hours/Confetti Eggs Information in today s school packet. New This Year: Four Fall Festival Hours (not six as in previous years) are required for families on Service Plans A and C. Hours worked beyond the required 4 will be counted towards Regular School Service Hours. Also, the Festival Hours have changed to 4:00 to 10:00 pm. Fall Festival raises close to $80,000, which goes towards SPAS operating costs, including the costs of our arts and music programs, sports, and academic decathlon, along with many other school needs. BAKING HOURS AND CONFETTI EGGS INFORMATION: BAKING HOURS: Only 2 Festival hours will be given for Baking. There will be 50 slots available on Sign-up Genius. Once those slots are filled, there will be 75 slots available for Regular School Hours on a separate Sign-up Genius. Instructions will be in the September 25, and October 2 Weekly Packet. BAKING GUIDELINES TO EARN EITHER THE FESTIVAL HOURS OR SCHOOL HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS: EACH ITEM WILL COUNT AS 2 SERVICE HOURS: 4 DOZEN COOKIES 4 DOZEN BROWNIES 4 DOZEN CUPCAKES 2 CAKES 2 PIES 4 Quick Bread Loaves (e.g. banana bread, zucchini bread, and etc.) 4 DOZEN RICE KRISPY TREATS *Sweets Booth Captains will be in touch with all bakers to confirm baked goods. 2) CONFETTI EGGS: Confetti eggs will only count for REGULAR School hours, NOT Fall Fest hours. The Eggs must be turned in between 2 pm and 4 pm to the Novelty Booth on the day of the Festival. ALL eggs must be FILLED with paper confetti (no Mylar, please). St. Philip the Apostle Girl Scout Troop #09051 Presents the 3 rd Annual Songs, Skits & S mores Night Saturday, September 30, 2017 6:30pm-8pm Camp Mariposa 615 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena Please join us for a fun-filled evening of laughter, songs and S mores. Each troop is asked to prepare one song or skit to share. Each Girl Scout should bring a filled bottle of water. Having fun is hard work! $10 per Girl Scout and $5 per Adult Girl Scout cost includes s mores, custom patch, fire scarf and a ton of fun! REGISTRATION is by Troop. RSVP and arrange payment directly with your troop leader. Leaders are responsible for their girls all the time. Each troop must meet Safety-Wise Girl to Adult ratio for their age level. *Only Girl Scouts and registered GS members may attend. Sorry, absolutely no tagalongs aka siblings.
