The Library Objectives as Related to the Virginia The Kindergarten Student will: 1.2 K.1(SS) identify factual materials. K.6(E) 1.3 K.13(E) ask pertinent how and why questions. locate the library media center and identify its purpose. identify the librarian and his/her role. K.5(E) name the parts of a book (cover, title page, and spine). K.3(SS) identify maps and globes as sources of information. K.3(SS) use simple maps and globes to locate areas referenced in stories.
