Welcome to The Marco Players Theater 2016-2017 Season! This season we are taking you on a journey and, What a Ride! it will be. We have made some changes and additions to your theater experience. First, for the past six years, our theater has been presenting four main shows for your enjoyment. This season, we are happy and excited to bring you six funny and witty productions in addition to our four Lunch Box shows. Second, if you have been on the island this summer, you know that our Summer Double Dip comedy shows Square One Improv and J.Robert Florida Fiddler Show appeared on our stage. They will both be back in the winter as part of our Lunch Box Series in addition to Second Lady and Rossiya-Matushka: Mother Russia. Third, our Gallery Wall will again be filled with local artists work this season. Across from the artists gallery wall we are planning a new and exciting display where your smiling face can be included. More on that later! Fourth, our community theater cannot operate without you. If working with a friendly, community theater sounds like fun, we invite you to volunteer with The Marco Players Theater. There are over 20 ways to volunteer, so there is a fit for everyone. Help us keep community theater alive and well Volunteer. Call or stop by the theater office located in our rehearsal studio next door. Stop by to visit, sign up to volunteer or just to say hello! Fifth, stay informed through social media. The Marco Players are active on both Facebook and Twitter and our website includes online ticketing and seat selection. Win Dinner Cruise Beverly Dahlstrom President and Artistic Director Proud Member of Theater Partners Attend the first week of any production and be automatically entered to win a Sunset Cruise & Delicious Prime Rib Dinner for 2 on the Marco Island Princess. One lucky winner per production. One entry per ticket.

How Does A Community Theater Survive? As a non-profit community theater, we survive through ticket sales, but we thrive because of two things--the committed work of our volunteers and donations from individuals and businesses. Ticket sales meet the expenses for a wide range of operations including volunteer recruitment and training, play selection, stage design and construction, marketing and promotions, bookkeeping, fundraising, and administrative costs. Consider making a donation to The Marco Players Wish List for the 2016-2017 season. A few items we are wishing for include a laptop for the tech booth, a new water cooler, and improved lighting for our stage. Your donation of $20, $50 or $100 really adds up and brings us closer to our goal of operating a functional and welcoming community theater. Call for Volunteers The Marco Players Theater thrives because of its committed volunteers, and there is always room for more people to join our theater family. As a community theater volunteer, you will work with others in a positive, creative environment where you ll find committed leadership and a staff of friendly, talented people!
