Apr. 19 th 2018 Sandra Simmonds A Day in Iran as a Housewife This is the second talk that she regularly gives to U3A Groups. Her first talk was excellent and many members requested this second talk. May 17 th 2018 Amalia Michaels The Royal Society & the Royal Institution To be elected a Fellow of the Royal Society is possibly one of the greatest honours that can be bestowed upon a scientist and discoveries made at the Royal Institution have been life-changing for our modern civilisation. 15 March 2018 Monthly Meeting Talk. You will be aware that the talk will be given by John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons. We anticipate a large audience and so this will be a ticket-only event. Some tickets are still available, priced at 1.00, for purchase at the 18 January MM in Hartley Hall. Barnet U3A has a few vacancies in their ballroom dancing course which will commence on Tuesday 13 March 2018 at Ewen Hall Wood Street Barnet.
