Event Info Welcome to the Water Lantern Festival presented by One World. Experience a celebration of happiness, peace, and hope. It s a time where we can come together, love one another, and heal ourselves. One World brings together individuals from all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to join in one memorable night. As the sun begins to set on the evening sky, the Water Lantern Festival begins to shine as the lanterns are launched onto the water. Watch your unique lantern drift on the water as it joins other lanterns carrying hope, love, happiness, healing, and connection. There is something to do for everyone at this beautiful event. Foodies can enjoy various local food trucks while listening to music provided by our DJ. Games will be spread across the event for children and families to enjoy. Or, if you are one for lounging, bring you blanket, hammock, air chair, or really anything you can sit on and enjoy the entertainment provided!
Lantern Launch At the appropriate time our team will provide instructions to begin the lantern launch. The launch window will last approx 1 hour so please don t rush to the water as there will be ample time to launch your lantern. Please Note Please understand that each event is unique and we will do our best to ensure a beautiful experience. However, the lantern launch is subject to weather conditions which may have an impact on the lanterns and their movement upon the water. Schedule 5:30 PM Gates Open - you can arrive anytime between 5:30-7 PM. Please arrive before 7 PM. 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM Entertainment & Food Trucks 8:00 PM 9:15 PM Lantern launch window Decorate YOUR LANTERN Upon arrival, pickup your lantern at one of our registration booths. If you need more, we have you covered! Visit us at the merchandise booth for lanterns that can be purchased for $10. Join one of our decorating tables to dedicate your lantern to your cause, loved one, or to express your creativity! Once you have decorated the rice paper portion of your lantern, assemble your lantern by inserting the wooden dowels into each corner and then place your lantern over the structure. You re set! Listen to the DJ for instructions on launch times and find a Water Lantern Festival staff to help get the lantern into the water.
FOOD & VENDORS VENDORS Want to find cool local products? We have you covered. Spend time walking through our vendor and craft section to discover unqiue local items. Our vendor section will be open during the entire event. FOOD Come hungry! The Water Lantern Festival has partnered with some of the best food trucks in town to satisfy ANY craving. Take a look below, wipe the drool off your face, and look forward to good friends and a good time!
More Info Sustainability One World cares deeply about our environment and our water resources. Following the event our team will retrieve each lantern and clean-up any trash that may have previously been in or around the water. In addition, each lantern is made from wood and rice paper making them as environmentally friendly as possible. After the event concludes, please help clean up any trash and leave no trace. Release waiver Charity By participating in the Water Lantern Festival presented by One World, you agree to the release waiver which can be viewed at http://www.waterlanternfestival.com/release-waiver.php. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Children should not be left unattended at anytime during the event.
