Eglish LC modules 1. Gettig started How to use this maual This maual gives step-by-step istructios for safe ad correct assembly of the kit ad fittig ad coectig of the ready-built module, ad operatio. Before you start, we advise you to read the whole maual, particularly the chapter o safety istructios ad the checklist for trouble shootig. You will the kow where to take care ad how to prevet mistakes which take a lot of effort to correct. Keep this maual safely so that you ca solve problems i the future. If you pass the kit or the ready-built module o to aother perso, please pass o the maual with it. Iteded use The LC modules are desiged to be operated accordig to the istructios i this maual i model buildig, especially with model railways. Ay other use is iappropriate ad ivalidates ay guaratees. The LC modules should ot be assembled or mouted by childre uder the age of 14. Readig, uderstadig ad followig the istructios i this maual are madatory for the user.! Cautio: The LC modules cotai itegrated circuits. These are very sesitive to static electricity. Do ot touch compoets without first dischargig yourself. Touchig a radiator or other grouded metal part will discharge you. Page 32

LC modules Eglish Checkig the package cotets Please make sure that your package cotais: oe kit, cotaiig the compoets listed i the parts list ad oe PCB or oe ready-built module, oe maual. Required materials For assemblig the kit you eed: a electroic solderig iro (max. 30 Watt) or a regulated solderig iro with a fie tip ad a solderig iro stad, a tip-cleaig spoge, a heat-resistat mat, a small side cutter ad wire stripper, as ecessary a pair of tweezers ad log ose pliers, electroic ti solder (0,5 mm. diameter). I order to coect the module you eed wire. Recommeded diameters: > 0,05 mm² for all coectios. You ca coect small light bulbs or LEDs (via series resistors) to the 5 outputs of the LC module. Light bulbs, LEDs ad series resistors are ot icluded i the package. For further iformatio o the maximum umber of bulbs or LEDs to be coected to oe output see sectio 7. Page 33

Eglish LC modules 2. Safety istructios Mechaical hazards Cut wires ca have sharp eds ad ca cause serious ijuries. Watch out for sharp edges whe you pick up the PCB. Visibly damaged parts ca cause upredictable dager. Do ot use damaged parts: recycle ad replace them with ew oes. Electrical hazards Touchig powered, live compoets, touchig coductig compoets which are live due to malfuctio, short circuits ad coectig the circuit to aother voltage tha specified, impermissibly high humidity ad codesatio build up ca cause serious ijury due to electrical shock. Take the followig precautios to prevet this dager: Never perform wirig o a powered module. Assemblig ad moutig the kit should oly be doe i closed, clea, dry rooms. Beware of humidity. Oly use low power for this module as described i this maual ad oly use certified trasformers. Coect trasformers ad solderig iros oly i approved mais sockets istalled by a authorised electricia. Observe cable diameter requiremets. After codesatio build up, allow a miimum of 2 hours for dispersio. Use oly origial spare parts if you have to repair the kit or the ready-built module. Page 34

LC modules Eglish Fire risk Touchig flammable material with a hot solderig iro ca cause fire, which ca result i ijury or death through burs or suffocatio. Coect your solderig iro or solderig statio oly whe actually eeded. Always keep the solderig iro away from iflammable materials. Use a suitable solderig iro stad. Never leave a hot solderig iro or statio uatteded. Thermal dager A hot solderig iro or liquid solder accidetally touchig your ski ca cause ski burs. As a precautio: use a heat-resistat mat durig solderig, always put the hot solderig iro i the solderig iro stad, poit the solderig iro tip carefully whe solderig, ad remove liquid solder with a thick wet rag or wet spoge from the solderig tip. Dagerous eviromets A workig area that is too small or cramped is usuitable ad ca cause accidets, fires ad ijury. Prevet this by workig i a clea, dry room with eough freedom of movemet. Other dagers Childre ca cause ay of the accidets metioed above because they are iattetive ad ot resposible eough. Childre uder the age of 14 should ot be allowed to work with this kit or the ready-built module.! Cautio: Little childre ca swallow small compoets with sharp edges, with fatal results! Do ot allow compoets to reach small childre. Page 35

Eglish LC modules I schools, traiig cetres, clubs ad workshops, assembly must be supervised by qualified persoel. I idustrial istitutios, health ad safety regulatios applyig to electroic work must be adhered to. 3. Safe ad correct solderig! Cautio: Icorrect solderig ca cause dagers through fires ad heat. Avoid these dagers by readig ad followig the directios give i the chapter Safety istructios. Use a small solderig iro with max. 30 Watt or a regulated solderig iro. Oly use electroic ti solder with flux. Whe solderig electroic circuits ever use solderig-water or solderig grease. They cotai acids that ca corrode compoets ad copper tracks. Isert the compoet coectig pis ito the PCB s holes as far as possible without force. The compoets should be close to the PCB s surface. Observe correct polarity orietatio of the parts before solderig. Solder quickly: holdig the iro o the joits loger tha ecessary ca destroy compoets ad ca damage copper tracks or solderig eyes. Apply the solderig tip to the solderig spot i such a way that the part ad the solderig eye are heated at the same time. Simultaeously add solder (ot too much). As soo as the solder becomes liquid take it away. Hold the solderig tip at the spot for a few secods so that the solder flows ito the joit, the remove the solderig iro. Do ot move the compoet for about 5 secods after solderig. Page 36

LC modules Eglish To make a good solderig joit you must use a clea ad uoxidised solderig tip. Clea the solderig tip with a damp piece of cloth, a damp spoge or a piece of silico cloth. Cut the wires after solderig directly above the solderig joit with a side cutter. After placig the parts, please double check for correct polarity. Check the PCB tracks for solder bridges ad short circuits created by accidet. This would cause faulty operatio or, i the worst case, damage. You ca remove excess solder by puttig a clea solderig tip o the spot. The solder will become liquid agai ad flow from the solderig spot to the solderig tip. Page 37

Eglish LC modules 4. Operatio overview The Light Computer is cotrolled by a micro cotroller. The program stored i the micro cotroller cotrols the five outputs of the module. Sequece ad timig are differet with the various versios. The LC module has a switchig iput (JP2) which has effects o the program sequece with some versios. Depedig o the versio ad the iput coected to earth or ot the program fiishes after oe cycle or is repeated edlessly; the oe or the other versio of the program will be displayed. LC-1 "Advertisig light 1": The five outputs are switched o oe after the other, blik together three times ad are switched off afterwards. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-2 "Advertisig light 2": The five outputs are switched o ad off oe after the other (ruig light sequeces) ad afterwards are switched o commoly for approx. 3 secods. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-3 "Advertisig light 3": At the start the five outputs are briefly switched o ad off apparetly without ay system ad afterwards are switched o commoly for approx. 3 secods. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. Page 38

LC modules Eglish LC-4 "Buildig site flasher": At the five outputs a ruig light sequece is created. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-5 "Flickerig flame": At the five outputs a irregular light patter is created. If red ad yellow bulbs are coected, the appearace of a flickerig flame results. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-6 "Weldig light": At each of the five outputs short ad strog light impulses are created, iterrupted by breaks at irregular itervals. Please ote: The breaks ca last for several miutes! The patters are differet at all outputs, which allows you to coect several "work places". The effect is most realistic whe blue LEDs are coected to the outputs. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece is iterrupted. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-7 "Traffic light cotrol": Traffic light cotrol for a complete itersectio. Outputs 1 ad 2 are red ad gree for directio A, outputs 4 ad 5 are red ad gree for directio B. Output 3 is the amber for both ad overlaps with red whe chagig to gree, as commo e.g. i Germay, Great Britai, Austria, Hugary, Switzerlad, Polad, Lithuaia, Norway ad Swede. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the traffic lights switch to flashig amber ad simulte a traffic light out of order, as commo e.g. i Germay, Austria, Hugary, Switzerlad ad Polad. If the iput remais ope, the traffic lights operate cotiuously. Page 39

Eglish LC modules LC-8 "Advertisig light 4": Fusio of the advertisig lights 1 to 3, comig o oe after the other. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the active part of the program. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece is iterrupted. If the iput remais opes, the program is repeated costatly. LC-9 "Igitio module for gas lamps": If the iput JP2 is give a short electric pulse (earth), the gas lamps start to flicker ad grow brighter gradually. Every igitio process is slightly differet. After approx. 5 secods the gas lamps reach their maximum brightess. Durig operatio, the lamps flicker ow ad the at differet times (variatios of gas pressure). After the switch-off impulse, (whe the iput JP2 is give a short electric pulse) all lamps shie o with moderate brightess ad go off completely i approx. 1.5 secods. LC-10 "Fluorescet tube simulator: If the iput JP2 is give a short electric pulse (earth), the differet fluorescet tubes flicker for a momet before all of them light oe after the other - just like the real thig. The turig o patter is a little differet for each. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth shortly, the light switches off. Whe the iput is switched to earth permaetly, a defective tube is simulated o output 1. This tube flickers at irregular itervals, at times brighteig quickly, at times slowly. LC-11 "Occupied house": Two differet programs are available. Program 1, "Home", starts if the iput JP2 is switched to earth, Program 2, "Office", if the iput remais opes. The programs take approximately 15 miutes ad are repeated after a short pause. Program 1: First the light i the kitche (output 1) goes o for a while, followed a bit later by the livig room (output 2). Output 3 is assiged for coectig a blue light bulb (the TV set), which flickers like a televisio picture. Some time later the light i the kitche switches off, ad goes o agai oce durig the program flow. The light i the bathroom (output 4) Page 40

LC modules Eglish goes o for a short time at irregular itervals. By the ed of the program the lights i the bedroom (output 5) ad i the bathroom go o for some time, the bulbs coected to outputs 2 ad 3 switch off. Program 2: I the etrace-hall (output 1) the light goes o for a short time at irregular itervals. The offices (or the flats i a multiple family dwellig) are coected to the outputs 2 to 5. The lights i the offices go o oe after the other, but oly after the light i the etrace hall has previously bee switched o. By the ed of the program the lights i the offices switch off oe after the other ad each time the light i the etrace hall goes o for a short time. LC-12 "Fairgroud attractio illumiatio": Each of the 5 outputs ca cotrol several coected light bulbs, which form differet patters: they flash i chagig sequeces, form ruig lights, flicker irregularly etc. The iput JP2 has o fuctio i this versio. LC-13 "Cadlelight simulator": After switchig o the module the "cadles" start to flicker - just like the real thig. At irregular itervals they brigthe ad dim. The iput JP2 has o fuctio i this versio. LC-14 "Sigal tower box light": The 5 outputs switch at radom the coected bulbs or LEDs. These light for a while ad simulate the activities i a sigal tower box. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece is iterrupted. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. LC-15 "Emergecy vehicle light": The bulbs / LEDs coected to the 5 outputs make 2 short flashes ad the go off for a short time. The breaks betwee the double flashes are of varig duratio for the five outputs. This way the characteristic light patter for moder emergecy vehicles is created. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece is iterrupted. If the iput remais ope, the program repeats cotiuously. Page 41

Eglish LC modules LC-16 "Dim switch for street lamps": The iput JP2 is switched o ad off automatically via a light sesitive switch. The sesitivity of the switch is set via a trimpot. Four outputs are desiged for the coectio of street lamps. The street lamps are gettig brighter gradually after beig switched o ad obtai their maximum brightess after about oe miute. Additioal accessories (e.g. house lightigs) which are iteded to be switched depedig o the ambiet lightig ca be coected to output 1 via a relay. The circuit respods to chages of the ambiet lightig with a delay of some secods. While the street lamps are gettig brighter after beig switched o ad some secods after beig switched off, the circuit does ot respod to chages of the ambiet lightig. LC-17 "Speed trap": The output 1 cotrols the speed trap, which flashes at irregular itervals (from approx. 3 to 25 secods). The outputs 2 to 5 are assiged for coectig the flash lights of police cars. The outputs 2 ad 3 produce a asychroous double flashig light (for moder police cars), the outputs 4 ad 5 a asychroous flashig light (for older police cars). The iput JP2 has o fuctio i this versio. Tip: The effect of the light patters is most realistic whe a white LED with high lumiosity is coected to the output 5, blue LEDs are coected to the outputs 2 ad 3 ad small blue bulbs to the outputs 4 ad 5. LC-18 "Vehicle lightig": Via the switchig iput JP2 you ca set the followig programs: "movig vehicle" (with the iput ope) or "stadig vehicle" (with the iput switched to earth). Assigmet of the outputs: 1: Flashig lights o the left 2: Flashig lights o the right 3: Iterior light (stadig vehicle) or hor (movig vehicle) 4: Frot lights 5: Back lights / brake lights Page 42

LC modules Eglish I the program "movig vehicle": The frot ad back lights are always switched o. It is possible to coect a loudspeaker as a hor (ot icluded) to output 3, the volume ca be reduced by coectig a series resistor (approx. 10 to 1 k ). The flashig lights o the left ad the right, the hor ad the stop lights are switched o ad off at radom. After the stop lights havig bee lighted the flasher is switched o, afterwards the stop lights ad a little bit later the flasher are switched off. I the program "stadig vehicle": The frot ad back lights are switched o most of the time. Now ad agai the flashig lights o the left ad the right, the warig flasher ad the iterior light are switched o. After the iterior light havig bee lighted the frot ad back lights ad the the iterior light are switched off. Afterwards all lights are switched off for a period. LC-19 "Paparazzi flash": The photographer s flash lights are coected to the five outputs of the module. They flash at radom idepedetly from each other. At irregular itervals flashlight thuderstorms break whe all flashlights are used early simultaeously ad several times close together. Usig white LEDs creates a very realistic effect. The iput JP2 has o fuctio i this versio. LC-20 "Roadworks vehicle": The module s five outputs cotrol the lightig of a complete roadworks vehicle icludig a trailer. Assigmet of the outputs: 1: Lae idicatio arrow of the trailer (gets slowly brighter ad the darker) 2: Flash lights of the trailer 3 ad 4: Warig flasher of the service vehicle 5: Double flash light The iput JP2 has o fuctio i this versio. Page 43

Eglish LC modules LC-21 "Fufair flow effect lightig 1": The 5 outputs geerate a light flow sequece. After the first ru through the output 5 stays o, after the secod ru through the output 4, ad so o, so that after 5 cycles all coected lamps or LEDS are switched o. With the cycles 6 to 10 the outputs are switched off i reverse order. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the active part of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program is repeated costatly. LC-22 "Fufair flow effect lightig 2": The five outputs geerate a light flow sequece. After beig switched off, the outputs cotiue to glow for a short time. I the first cycle oe output stays o ad oe cotiues to glow, i the secod ru through two outputs stay o ad two cotiue to glow ad fially, i the third cycle three outputs stay o ad two cotiue to glow. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the active part of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program is repeated costatly. LC-23 "Fufair flow effect lightig 3": The five outputs geerate a ruig light sequece, which chages the ruig directio at radom. If the iput JP2 is switched to earth, the light sequece switches off after the completio of the active part of the program. If the iput remais ope, the program is repeated costatly. Page 44

The separate electroic compoets have the followig special features you should take ito accout i assemblig: Page 45

Eglish LC modules Resistors Value: Resistors reduce curret. The value of resistors for smaller power ratigs is idicated through colour rigs. Every colour stads for aother figure. Carbo film resistors have 4 colour rigs. The 4th rig (give i brackets here) idicates the tolerace of the resistor (gold = 5 %). Colour rigs: 1 k brow - black - red (gold) 10 k brow - black - orage (gold) Electrolytic capacitors Electrolytic capacitors are ofte used to store eergy. I cotrast to ceramic capacitors they are polarized. The value is give o the package. Electrolytic capacitors are available with differet voltage sustaiig capabilities. Usig a electrolytic capacitor with a voltage sustaiig capability higher tha required is always possible. Diodes ad Zeer diodes Diodes allow the curret to pass through i oe directio oly (forward directio), simultaeously the voltage is reduced by 0,3 to 0,8 V. Exceedig of the limit voltage always will destroy the diode, ad allow curret to flow i the reverse directio. Zeer diodes are used for limitig voltages. I cotrast to "ormal" diodes they are ot destroyed whe the limit voltage is exceeded. The diode type is prited o the package. Page 46

LC modules Eglish Trasistors Trasistors are curret amplifiers which covert low sigals ito stroger oes. There are several types i differet package forms available. The type desigatio is prited o the compoet. Trasistors for a low power ratig (e.g. BC types, BS types) have a package i form of a half zylider (SOTpackage). The three pis of bipolar trasistors (e.g. BC, BD ad BT types) are called basis, emitter ad collector (abbreviated with the letters B, E, C i the circuit diagram). Itegrated circuits (ICs) Microcotrollers Depedig o the type, ICs fulfil various tasks. The most commo housig form is the so-called "DIL"-housig, from which 4, 6, 8, 14, 16, 18 or more "legs" (pis) are arraged alog the log sides. ICs are sesitive to damage durig solderig (heat, electrostatic chargig). For that reaso i the place of the ICs IC sockets are soldered i, i which the ICs are iserted later. Microcotrollers are ICs, which are idividually programmed for the particular applicatio. The programmed cotroller are oly available from the maufacturer of the circuit belogig to it. Assembly Proceed accordig to the order give i the list below. First solder the compoets o the solder side of the PCB ad the cut the excess wires with the side cutter. Follow the istructios o solderig i sectio 3. Page 47

Eglish LC modules! Cautio: Several compoets have to be mouted accordig to their polarity. Whe solderig these compoets the wrog way roud, they ca be damaged whe you coect the power. I the worst case the whole circuit ca be damaged. At the best, a wrogly coected part will ot fuctio. 1. Resistors Moutig orietatio of o importace. 2. Diodes, Zeer diodes Observe the polarity! LC modules Eglish Performig a visual check Perform a visual check after the assembly of the module ad remove faults if ecessary: Remove all loose parts, wire eds or drops of solder from the PCB. Remove all sharp wire eds. Check that solder cotacts which are close to each other are ot uitetioally coected to each other. Risk of short circuit! Check that all compoets are polarised correctly. Whe you have remedied all faults, go o to the ext part. 7. Coectig the LC module Coect the power supply, the light bulbs, LEDs or other accessories ad if eccessary switches or push-buttos, accordig to the followig list ad coectig diagrams, to the LC module. Follow the appeded istructios below as well. For the coectio of the cables (except JP2) you fid socket termial strips icluded i the package. You ca plug them oto the pi strips o the PCB ad ca remove them ay time. JP1 Power supply (10-18 V) Check the polarity whe coectig the module to d.c. voltage. LC modules Eglish Coectig the dim switch (LC-16) Coect the dim switch ad the light sesitive resistor accordig to the coectio diagram (fig. 5). The light sesitive resistor has to be placed that way it is exposed to the ambiet light. I order to set the sesitivity of the dim first set the trim pot to mid-positio ad chage the sesitivity as far as ecessary. The circuit requires 3 or 4 secods to react. Coectig light bulbs As a rule you ca coect oe or two bulbs to oe output. Bulbs are ot polarized. Coect oe side to the output, the other to the retur coductor.! Cautio: The maximum curret of 100 ma per output should ot be exceeded. I this case the output would be damaged. For that reaso strictly uphold the specificatio of the curret cosumptio (give i ma) o the bulb s socket or it s packagig. Coectig LEDs You ca coect several LEDs i parallel or serial (i series) to oe output (see followig sectios). Which versio fits better depeds amogst others from the moutig situatio. LEDs are polarized. Coect the cathode (-) to the output ad the aode (+) to the retur coductor. With wired versios the aode (+) has the loger "leg", with SMD versios the cathode (-) is marked (e.g. by a reamed corer or a pait mark).! Cautio: LEDs always have to be coected via a series resistor, otherwise they will be damaged whe put ito operatio. Advice cocerig choosig a series resistor "Parallel / Serial coectio of LEDs". Page 51

Eglish LC modules Parallel coectio of LEDs With a parallel coectio each LED has to be coected via it s ow series resistor to the output. The total curret at the output results from summig up the curret of each sigle LED. The curret cosumptio of oe LED depeds o the value of the series resistor. The higher the value, the lower is the curret ad the more LEDs ca be coected to oe output. But, the LEDs light the darker, the higher you choose the series resistor s value.! Cautio: The maximum curret of 100 ma per output should ot be exceeded. I this case the output would be damaged. Examples for parallel coectio of LEDs: Power supply Series resistors Curret per LED trasformer (~) 12 V 1,5 kohm 10 ma 10 trasformer (~) 12 V 820 Ohm 20 ma 5 trasformer (~) 15-16 V 2,2 kohm 10 ma 10 trasformer (~) 15-16 V 1 kohm 20 ma 5 trasformer (~) 18 V 2,7 kohm 10 ma 10 trasformer (~) 18 V 1,2 kohm 20 ma 5 The calculatio of the series resistors is based o the followig formula: max. umber of LEDs per output series resistor [kohm] = power supply [V] / curret [ma] Note: The operatig voltage with a.c. trasformers is approx. 1,4 times the omial voltage give o the trasformer. With d.c. power packs the operatig voltage correspods to the give omial voltage. Page 52

LC modules Eglish Serial coectio of LEDs With a serial coectio all LEDs have to be coected (i series) via oe series resistor to the output. The curret cosumptio of the LEDs depeds o the value of the series resistor. The higher the value, the lower is the curret. But, the LEDs are dimmer, the higher you choose the series resistor s value. The umber of LEDs you ca coect i series depeds o the trasformer s omial voltage ad the colour of the LEDs. Whe coectig too may LEDs, the voltage is ot sufficiet ad the LEDs do ot light. Examples for serial coectio of LEDs: Nomial voltage trasformer (~)* 1 Operatig voltage * 1 appr. Forward voltage of the LED* 2 12 V 17 V 2 V 7 4 V 3 16 V 22 V 2 V 10 4 V 4 18 V 25 V 2 V 11 4 V 5 Max. umber of LEDs* 3 per output * 1 Nomial voltage ad operatig voltage: The operatig voltage with a.c. trasformers is approx. 1,4 times the omial voltage give o the trasformer. With d.c. power packs the operatig voltage correspods to the give omial voltage. *2 The forward voltage of white ad blue LEDs is approx. 4 V, differig coloured LEDs approx. 2 V. * 3 Tolerace ad / or voltage fluctuatios i practice ofte cause the calculated operatig voltage ot beig available. For that reaso it is recommeded to coect oe LED less tha possible i theory. Calculate the ecessary series resistor as follows: ec. RV [Ohm] = ( UB [V] UF [V] x LED ) / (IF [ma] x 0,001) UB = operatig voltage UF = forward voltage of the LED LED = umber of LEDs IF = curret with max. lumiace Page 53

Eglish LC modules Example: Coectio of 2 blue ad 3 red LEDs with usig a 18 V a.c. trasformer. Desigated curret: 20 ma: ec. RV = (25 V 4 V x 2 2 V x 3) / (20 ma x 0,001) = 550 Ohm We choose the ext resistor s value which is provided as a stadard, which meas a resistor of 560 Ohm. If usig a resistor with a higher value the curret of the LEDs would be reduced ad the LEDs would light less brightly. Tip: Coectig may LEDs to oe LC module If you wat to coect a great umber of LEDs to oe LC module (e.g. with advertisig lights or fufair lights), best coect them as follows: Coect so may LEDs i series as possible with the available operatig voltage. Whe usig a a.c. trasformer of 18 V you ca coect 7 white or blue or 11 differet coloured LEDs i series. Reduce the curret by usig a series resistor as far as the LEDs brightess still matches your ideas. Coect further "chais" of LEDs switched i series i parallel to the same output. Take care ot to exceed the max. curret of 100 ma. Whe limitig the curret of each sigle "chai" to 10 ma, you ca coect 10 chais i parallel to oe output. You ca do the same with the other 4 outputs. Based o our example you ca coect: 5 x 10 x 7 = 350 white or blue LEDs or 5 x 10 x 11 = 550 differet coloured LEDs to oe module! Page 54
