Frequently Asked Questions about Audition Day: What does my child need to do to prepare for his/her audition? Please see the guidelines for each program below. What should I do if I have an unavoidable conflict and cannot attend auditions on the designated day? See the contact information below for each program. Email the contact person for your program of interest to see if there is an alternate audition option. Note: While we will do our best to accommodate make-up auditions, we cannot guarantee audition opportunities beyond February 3 as we will begin finalizing our enrollment at that time. Please make every effort to attend the February 3 audition day to ensure placement for the 2018-19 school year. The sign-in form requires a Rockdale County Schools student number, but my child was home-schooled or attended private school in Rockdale County this year and does not currently have a school ID number. In this case, please enter your phone number in the student ID blank. Will parents be allowed to see the auditions? Student auditions will be closed to parents, however we will have refreshments and a hospitality area for parents who are waiting. How will I know when my audition time is? Finalized audition times will be posted online by 5:00 pm on January 31. You will need to log on to this website to see your scheduled time. http://dms.rockdaleschools.org I am currently enrolled in the fine arts program at Academy for Performing and Visual Arts at General Ray Davis Middle School. Do I need to re-audition? Maybe but not on this day (February 3). You will not participate in this audition day if you are already enrolled, but you may be contacted later and asked to audition at a later date if you are changing programs. I want to switch majors. Do I need to audition? See answer above.
