I learned so much from him and I loved the text reviews. I teach privately and I feel so much more confident in my ability to teach. Incredible teacher! It s about time! A. Diesner/Trosper Awesome Class! I feel much more prepared to teach if I chose to do so. This class over-all gave me a better understanding of how to communicate the mechanism of the voice. Great Stuff this semester! The historical all-encompassing perspective has given us a well-rounded understanding of the various methods. J. Ooms This was a great class and we only scratched the surface on a mind blowing amount of information the information stuck and that is important for the long-term. Dr. Seesholtz is an excellent pedagogue. He does an incredible job of breaking down complex subjects into clearly manageable components that are insightful and easy to understand, challenging and stimulating. P.Romero Loved this class!!! I learned a lot!! And it really helped put things into perspective while I am singing. The class was structured extremely well, and Dr. J s enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject made it easy to learn a subject that is not extremely easy. I had a lot of fun and felt that it will really help in my future as an educator. L. Marshall

Dr. Seesholtz made pedagogy a great experience. His passion for the subject really comes out when he is teaching and the class was organized in such a way that I really understood the subject matter at the end of the course. Dr. Seesholtz is very knowledgeable on the subject and teaches it very well. This class was very well organized and information was delivered clearly. I thought the way the information was broken down helped to understand it better. I really enjoyed vocal ped! I thought the class was well-organized, supportive of differentiating ideas, an effective learning environment. Thank you Dr. J for your passion in this subject and again for the care of your students and how they learn. N. Behren There was A LOT of information given in the class, but it definitely wasn t presented in a way that was overwhelming. I enjoyed the class discussions and having different ideas. I thought the text reviews were a great way to focus in on what we needed to learn from the text because there was so much information in the book alone. I really liked when we were able to see the videos of the larynx and having an example of what we have been talking about. Over-all, this course was very informative, interesting and beneficial to my future as a musician. A. Alverez I learned a lot and never felt bad for not knowing an answer. Definitely keep the structure the same next semester (text reviews then presentations). Dr. Seesholtz is extremely helpful outside of class of class for his students. He s always available to lend a helping hand. He s a true expert in the pedagogy field and he always answers questions in a simple and approachable way! He s a true blessing to the program!
