April 29-May 1, 2011 Two applicants were approved by the committee: Lori Moccio and Paola Scalisi. Both approved applications were for mentorship with Catherine West at the Royal Conservatory of Music. However, due to a RCM course cancellation, the mentorship committee approved Paola Scalisi in mentorship with Pam Hetrick at the Vancouver Community College August 8-19, 2011. Catherine West will mentor Lori Moccio at the Royal Conservatory of Music July 4-15, 2011. November 27, 2011 (Skype) Lori Moccio successfully mentored with Catherine West at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto from July 4-15, 2011. Paola Scalisi successfully mentored with Pam Hetrick at the Vancouver Community College from August 8-19, 2011. Lori Moccio and Paola Scalisi were both highly recommended as Level I Basic Orff teachers. April 18-19, 2012 One application was received for mentorship for the summer of 2012, and is in the process of review by the mentorship committee. April 26-28, 2013 The changes for the mentorship program are in regards to the application procedures. The goal is to make the application as clear and succinct as possible. Success criteria have been included in the application process. This terminology has replaced the former rubrics. The expectations from the video lesson and the lesson plan have now been separated. Some clarifications have been added regarding all the requirements on the video lessons submitted. Action: Cathy will send revised guidelines to Joanne for posting on the P & P. Changes have been made to the Endorsement and the Mentorship Committee section E and F regarding the length of term of the committee members. The mentorship committee members felt it may be more useful to have two smaller subcommittees that would each be well rounded. If there are questions regarding an application this could then be addressed with the entire committee. IIIM5: Canadian Orff Schulwerk Courses/Canadian Clinicians List Page 6

November 22, 2015 Go-to-meeting 6.2 Mentorship - Liz Kristjanson Concern for recruitment of people for level instruction and the number of instructors who are able to mentor. Action: Committee will work on potential procedures for mentorship Marlene will contact AOSA regarding their process for level 2 instructor mentorship. Action: James will check his report for accuracies on the courses offered in Vancouver. There were no Mentorship candidates during the summer of 2015, although there was one unsuccessful applicant. Action: Marlene will connect with Level II and III instructors via the Level Course Instructors meeting agenda to let them know that there is a desire to establish a Mentorship Support Network, by the beginning of April. Action: Liz will summarize the initial conversation and proposal and submit it to the Mentorship Committee at Bridges to create some guidelines around mentorship for Levels II and III.
