Page 1! The represents a select group of young actors who have met the rigorous standards established for admittance by the Directors of North Texas Performing Arts. Each theatre (PCT, FVYT, & FYT) has its own ACE program. Students are committing to membership and service in a particular theatre s ACE Team. This company s primary goal is to distinguish certain students who demonstrate a desire for excellence on stage and off. ACE members will mentor students to further enhance leadership skills, hone the craft of acting and performing, improve communication, and learn other valuable skills beneficial to a career in the arts. Company members will be selected based on their level of experience, talent (via audition), and maturity both on and off the stage. Acting Company of Excellence Members will receive the following special benefits: Participation in special events and activities Special participation in the Members Only Balloting for the Annual AMP Award Program Participation in Acting Company of Excellence advanced acting workshops Priority access to special classes and programs Priority selection of audition slots for upcoming shows (ACE members will NOT be given priority selection for role casting but for audition slots) Invitation to ACE Only Productions Exclusive eligibility to be considered for the PCT/FVYT/FYT Summer Touring Shows Exclusive eligibility to earn tuition credit by serving as a student intern Member of the Student Board to provide input to PCT/FVYT/FYT ACE programming and selection Eligible to register for ACE Summer Educational Trips Once a year consultation session with panel of directors regarding student progress Access to ACE-logo d clothing and gifts

Page 2! Actors will be held to the standard of the following expectations throughout the course of their membership in the ACE program. In order to be considered an active member, students must fulfill each of the following minimum requirements: Has performed in a minimum of five major North Texas Performing Arts productions or equivalent from a comparable theatre. Has performed in at least two NTPA major productions in the past twelve months. Is 6-8 th Grade for Junior ACE. Is 7-12 th Grade for ACE. Is a Member in good standing with NTPA. Has been nominated by a Director of NTPA. Demonstrates maturity during rehearsal and performance. Demonstrates respectful behavior of theatre staff, director, show parent, and parent volunteers Has paid the annual Acting Company of Excellence dues ($49 which includes membership and audition fees). Successfully completed a Director s audition, and met the performance standard as set by the NTPA Directors. Receives an audition critique annually. Attend 50% of Local Meetings (held once per month); Attend 50% of Quarterly Meetings (held 4 times per year). Attend 50% of fundraisers. Attend 50% of performance events. Serve on the PCT/FVYT/FYT ACE Ambassador Team to appear at community events. Serve 10 hours annually in volunteer service for PCT/FVYT/FYT (to give back to the theatre, not for tuition credit; students may serve more volunteer hours for tuition credit)

The Audition and Acceptance Process will consist of the following: Emailed application for admittance Two Letters of Recommendation one artistic and one academic or professional Live Audition - ACE o Musical Students: Prepare 2 Musical Theatre Cuttings (16-32 bars) of Contrasting Styles to be performed with LIVE PIANO ACCOMPANIMENT. Prepare 1 Monologue from professionally accepted literature Answer a series of interview questions by panel of directors Provide sheet music in appropriate key for live accompaniment o Non-Musical Students: Prepare 2 Monologues of Contrasting Styles Prepare 1 Musical Theatre cutting (16-32 bars) to be performed with LIVE ACCOMPANIMENT. Answer a series of interview questions by panel of directors Live Audition - JUNIOR ACE o Musical Students: Prepare 2 Musical Theatre Cuttings (16-32 bars) of Contrasting Styles to be performed with a BACKING TRACK supplied by the student. Prepare 1 Monologue from professionally accepted literature Answer a series of interview questions by panel of directors Provide sheet music in appropriate key for live accompaniment o Non-Musical Students: Prepare 2 Monologues of Contrasting Styles Prepare 1 Musical Theatre cutting (16-32 bars) to be performed with a BACKING TRACK supplied by the student.
