Author/Authors 1) A Work by Two Authors: Name both authors in the signal phrase or in the parentheses each time you cite the work. Groups as authors (government agency) as publisher: The names of groups that serve as authors (e.g., corporations, associations, and government agencies) are usually spelled out each time they appear in a text citation. The names of some group authors are spelled out in the first citation and abbreviated in parenthetical text ( ) thereafter. If the abbreviation is familiar or readily understandable, you may abbreviate the name in bracket text [ ].
