This is the motivation for the lesson Poem recitation: Rolly/Polly Rolly /Polly using opposite words given in this poem start with up/down/ little x big, far x near Then use the words from the poem Opposites are war x peace, enemies x friends, gentle x harsh, light x dark, night x day, start x cease, ever x never Cards for opposites for matching followed by work sheet for testing.
