As the last surviving Newsreel theatre still operating as a cinema full-time in the UK, the Grade II-listed building is an important nationally recognised piece of heritage lovingly restored to preserve and celebrate the grandeur of its original 1937 art deco design. Originally the News Theatre screen, The Classic is a magnificently restored auditorium which features balcony seating in its Classic Circle and a stage ideal for awards ceremonies and photo opportunities.
