With its iconic history and prestigious heritage, this space exudes beauty, both in its wonderfully preserved archaeological site and the stunningly restored building that houses it. As a public amenity, there is open access, just like any another city street, where visitors are surrounded by three centuries of Barcelona s history. It is also a space that has witnessed two key moments in the history of this city. At El Born CCM we not only encounter the archaeological site revealing the Barcelona of 1700, the prosperous city that was to suffer the siege and defeat of 1714 when Catalan laws and freedoms were annulled, but also the wrought iron structure of El Born s old market, a symbol of the prosperous, modern and profoundly European Barcelona of the 19th century. Ever since it opened, this iconic, prestigious and beautiful space has become the ideal setting for all types of events, functions and celebrations. El Born CCM has a range of different spaces and multipurpose areas, all of which have been adapted and equipped for all kinds of events. With natural light and a total surface area of 611 m 2, 350 m 2 of which are completely open plan, the room can be arranged in different layouts. It has a maximum capacity of 280 people. Private visits to the archaeological site El Born CCM houses one of the most extraordinary archaeological sites in Catalonia, providing a firsthand insight into what Barcelona was like in 1700; who lived there and what life was like. We can fit around your schedule and the nature of your group and take you up to the balcony to enjoy a spectacular panorama, not only of part of the old El Born neighbourhood, but also of the imposing late 19th century old market building, in the company of an expert guide. PRICES WITHOUT SPACE RENTAL PRICE A Until 10 pm and for 2 hours: 400 for a group of up to 25 people. 15 per additional person up to a maximum of 100. PRICE B After 10 pm and/or for more than 2 hours: 800 for a group of up to 25 people. 15 per additional person up to a maximum of 100. PRICES WITH SPACE RENTAL During the Centre s opening hours*: per group (up to 25 places) Outside the Centre s opening hours*: per group (up to 25 places) A 20% increase will be added at weekends and on public holidays. A 20% increase will be added to visits conducted in a language other than Catalan or Spanish. These increases may be combined. *Centre opening hours: from MARCH TO SEPTEMBER: Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays, 10 am to 8 pm. From OCTOBER TO FEBRUARY: Tuesday to Saturday 10 am to 7 pm, Sundays and public holidays 10 am to 8 pm (26th December 10 am to 2.30 pm) CLOSED: Mondays (not public holidays), 1st January, 1st May, 24th June and 25th December.
