Gold Meets Golden began as a featured party leading in to the 2013 Golden Globe awards, honoring the athletes of the 2012 Season. The concept was elevated to an official after-party at the Globes with a send-off salute to the 2014 Olympians, an Oscar weekend event celebrating the Special Olympics in 2015, and additional athlete activity at various Hollywood premieres throughout the year. 3

VENUES Gold Meets Golden events have graced a variety of locations including the Flagship Equinox Lounge in West LA, the rooftop of the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and premieres at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. This year s event will be held at the Equinox Flagship Lounge. 5
2016 has already been filled with extraordinary moments from various Sports disciplines, which will all be celebrated at Gold Meets Golden. The Rio Olympics will be a particular focus of this years event. 2017 EVENT The main Gold Meets Golden event returns to the 2017 Golden Globes Weekend on JANUARY 7-8, 2016. In a special daytime Saturday event, Veteran, Rio Olympians and other 2016 Top Athletes will be greeted by Golden Globe nominees and winners, and other Hollywood celebrities, to mingle and share their inspring stories with one another. On Sunday January 8 th, the athlete honorees will have a chance to attend the Golden Globes red carpet and parties, and a select few will present at the actual Globes show. 6
ANCILLARY YEAR-ROUND EVENTS: HOLLYWOOD PREMIERES GMG also brings athletes and Olympians to a variety of red carpet premieres of films that focus on sports or competition. Events were hosted at the club directly, and custom media segments were created for large outlets like Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, showing top celebs in the space and even athletes like Gold-Medal swimmer Missy Franklin using their pool and facilities. CUSTOM SPONSOR PROGRAMS COCA-COLA S OLYMPIC MUSEUM Coca-Cola wanted to prove their commitment as the longest-running sponsor of the Olympics and as a great long-term partner for Hollywood. A special display of Coca-Cola memorabilia, artifacts, and several years of real Olympic torches was created so that VIP attendees could have a chance to really interact with the brand. RESULTS: The Coca-Cola memorabilia imagery ran in several broadcast, print and online outlets and their messaging of commitment to the Games & Hollywood carries on year after year. 14

AWARDS SHOW PARTICIPATION Certain athletes will also attend the red-carpet pre-show and the Golden Globe Awards ceremony, with a chance to shout-out to sponsors. In 2017 for the first time, Olympians will also present one of the Golden Globes Awards. Each year, thousands of local, national and international press outlets take to the Globes carpet, creating great exposure for brands and sponsors whose athletes attend as special guests of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
